Something I noticed in Tell your Tale episode 50, where this song debuted for the show, is that Opaline tries on all these different outfits during the song, but not once does she ever remove her leg cuffs...we know she's trapped in her castle, so I am starting to wonder if those leg cuffs aren't fashion accessories, but magic shackles of sorts keeping her locked in the castle.
@@qhimeraa yeah i honestly feel like it would have made her story more interesting if she was not able to leave the castle. because now it seems (at least to me) like she is not pretty good at being evil cause despite misty clearly failing with the plans for tons of times she never actually was like "whelp i have to go and do it myself". I feel like if her storyline involved the "stuck in the castle" thing, it would have been such a good explanation for why she keeps sending misty to do the things despite none of the things misty does succeeding, because ya know, she has no other way to do her plans but have misty do the main things
I wish this song was in the show. I feel like Opaline has so much more personality in the shorts than in the actual show, but then again we haven’t seen much of her. The British accent and fanart on the cover of this video just makes it all better.
It's no Under Our Spell or Open Up Your Eyes, but this has to be the best song of G5 so far, hands down, and it's a villain song to boot. At this point I'll take anything decent from G5, whether it be a song, a character moment, or a plot element. A track like this one proves that some quality can shine through, even with a product that Hasbro is doing their best to sabotage.
Why is it that villains seem to have the best songs? I mean this song and "Open up your eyes" from the MLP movie are two of the best songs in the franchise in my opinion.
Villain songs from G4 tended to be among my favourite, so why not? Of course, the bar for decent G5 songs is much, much lower, but hey, I'll take one G5 song that has earned its place in the pantheon of great MLP songs. It took bloody long enough. That pantheon has steep competition, even when limited to just villain songs, so this one is definitely far from my number one, but it's still a marked improvement over the G5 standard, and I hope to see more quality tracks like this one in the future.
i like opalines fire abilities and singing voice the only thing i do have a problem with is her color pallet like most ponies dont have bright colored fur that bright to the point it comes off as eye bleeding neon,i wouldnt mind if they made her fur abit more toned down
You gotta admit that this song is is lit asf and that it’s not a bad villain song it actually reminds me of A Better Way To Be Bad with Cozy Tirek and Chrysalis
While I do love Opaline's song but please let's there be announcement on the fourth chapters of My Littlle Ponys: Make Your Mark at last because I really wanted to see Sunny and her friends face Opaline and hopefully at the same time Misty will finally side with them after realising that Opaline is using her.
That one winter song in the background of one of the holiday episodes. I think the same song is also in Make Your Mark Chapter 3. I know this might be too much to ask but I also wanted to know the lyrics of that one song from the trash-diving episode.
