I said that german people in general know how to treat a car,it's obvious that the whole Germany is not like that. Germany has the biggest car market in Europe and that's for a reason. Just pay more attention at what i said,i said german people not,the whole population of Germany.
That is because the same speedometer was used in various cars. Mercedes-Benz did the same thing, regardless of having 1.8L (90kW) engine or 2.8L (140kW) engine, you would still get 240 km/h clock.
I had a corsa 1.2l carbureted engine. It was fast for this small engine but the Speedo was also very unprecice. It reached about 190 on the Speedo, wich are 160-170 on GPS. In 4. Gear the engine sounds at 140kmh like it is over reving but keeps on going faster and faster.
The one we were going with was a 1.0, as far as I can remember. The 180 kph were down the Irschenberg on the German A8 Salzburg - Munich. An absolutely pathetic thing, uphill on a Autostrada in the Abruzze mountains 80 kph was the maximum loaded with two normal built north europeans and a bit of luggage. Lorries were overtaking us, really ashaming. We borrowed it from my mate's mother as a senile grandma crashed in my Mazda 626 GT. I just hate underpowered cars, but at least it made our holiday possible. ...and the seats were better :D
Great condition Corsa! Loving these old school Opels. I remember when my father bought brand new Opel Kadett E in 1988 it was his dream car at the time (:
My god, the strugle with the transmision! It's too fast for second, too slow for third. Haha I remember this. Well Uberholspur, you asked earlier about adding some content to the chanell, here is a good idea, bring some 80's and 90's cars in. There are not many videos about cars from that era.

I would love to drive more young and Oldtimer. The only problem there is, it is very difficult getting these cars.
@ I understand the strugle, but, I don't know how do you get the cars for filming, maybe if it's ok with you, you could post on Comunity a "call out" if some of subscibers are from your area and own a car that you will be interested in and are willing to lend their car for filming. I see that you don't show your face on videos - the focus is on cars, so you may not be into that...but, I also see that Doug Demuro is doing similar thing and doing ok on YT :D
Corsa is best car ever made. I had a 2005 Opel Corsa 1.0 liter engine for 14 years.. now I am driving a 2018 Opel Corsa 1.4 engine, which runs excellent. The 2005 Corsa I had I sold it with its original components. Only a water pump was changed in 14 years, not even a spark plug changed !!! Thank you Opel for doing such a great job !!!
I bet it's great. I had the first gen Astra f 3 door 1,6i auto, and I loved it, great ,reliable car. Gripped the road like crazy on stock wheels too. Now I have a 97 BMW 520ia and it's not that reliable ,but still a nice car. But I wanna have my Astra back lol.
Opel did reliable cars ! Corsa, Astra, Meriva, Zafira... they were all reliable. And it's still doing great cars... I hope the PSA group won't mess things up with the engines. The 2019 Corsa will have a Peugeot engine, 3 cylinders aluminium engine block, and will only be 1.0 liter and 1.2 liters. No more 1.4 engines with 4 cylinders anymore from now on. The aluminium enginges will not be that reliable such as the steel engine unfortunately.
Exactly. Yeah those little 1.0 engines are just pathetic They're installing small engines even in big cars . You can't get a real engine in new cars anymore. planned obsolescence. What was wrong with 1,4 or 1,6... Lol you might as well buy a microcar
I made alot of memories with this car since my grandma owned one and I always was with her,It's nice to see one in good condition since the old one my grandma had was sent to the junkyard
just want to say your videos provide a really great insight, i really appreciate your dedication to showcasing more "regular" cars. thanks for all you do
Miss driving my 86 corsa :( thats the reason I centered my channel around rebuilding it :) thanks for the nostalgic train ride :) maybe in a few months I can experience it again :)
ive got the exact same car from 87 in whithe and the same exterior, this car is Amazing got it for 4 Years now and it runs without any problem just amazing !
This was my first car, bought it in 2006 I think. I loved it, but I would probably have loved any car as my first just for the freedom it gives you. Sadly i crashed it a year and a half later, and it was too expensive to fix.
Note the 80s simplicity. 7:57 : he put in the manual choke,( at last!) . Uses the non-intermittent wipers and puts on the clickety- click turn indicator.
Wow, thats an old car. It still has a choke and no tachometer! People should appreciate cars like this, since these old cars shaped their future and newer counterparts.
I like this video being in 360p, very nostalgic as if recorded with VHS ;) I remember back in the day being given a lift in this car, also in white. If you can do a driving review comparing with modern cars, such as what the steering feel is like, clutch weight, etc... then that would be great. Cheers.
Nice corsa .my grandfather had one exactly like that .i have an astra f gt 1993 white with the red stripes in the bumpers and the red gt emblem.it is like new and really Quick.1,4 90 hp 185 km top speed .it is three door hatch all original even the recaro seats
Cool little car, nice drive! :) Makes me wanna go for a ride myself. I wonder how much would it take/cost just to get a glimpse of old-but-gold cruising like this.

Amazing video of a complete classic 😍 my first car will be a 1999 Vauxhall Corsa B with hopefully a GSI kit. Opel's and Vauxhall's are same cars but different names.
Engine 12NC? There is also the 1.2 with 54hp and the 1.0 with 43hp, i had three corsas few years ago, two 1.3 gt (13sb) and a 1.4 gt (14nv) and also my father had a 1988 corsa spider irmscher (13sb)
Amazing, it's just amazing how the car is in a mint condition :) .. The clutch sound every time you press it, is like a turbo blow-off valve hahahaha it was so funny
My first car i miss it....... but why the guy in the film use the cocke for so long ? I rememeber use it only for few minute when i start the engine from wery cold !
