@AsteroSSB im not a supre fan of the v-tech system, but man you have to hear the hillclimin' hondas. im a v8 kinda guy but those four bangers hit the right notes!
@haarsje No need for Honda swaps. Professionally build 2.0 16v will reach 9k revs + (see old F2 rally cars or Formula 3 engines) and C20XE is a really good base for a race engine: I imagine quite a few of those cars run that engine.

@Racecarwrecks In this clip you can only see the opels (it's a special on the opels). But there are many very powerfull cars starting. This race also had 3 group B lancia delta S4, some very poweful other cars, and about 20 single seaters and sportscars at the start.
A lot of old timer engines sounds great once they get tuned some ... a classic is the Ford Escort BDA engine, or the Ford Pinto V6 engines, they make a beautiful sound, like Simon Finley's Ford Escort Mk II : watch?v=d01VBR5nKPw Toyota's 4AGE engine has a paprticularly sweet almost singing note to it once it hits about 6500 - 7000rpm. And the Toyota V8 engine, the 1UZ, also sounds great with a bit of natural aspirated tuning ... like this : watch?v=Ba8sT2BQ4uc
I want an opel now. hmmm seems there is no such thing in australia except for holdens which were a design bought from opel. oh :( I want the real thing though.
@MPZRACEVIDEO actually I realized why I asked this. There is only dynamic footage, one after another. Some static footage (cars, drivers, servicing, the spectators) inserted every 3 minutes, would have given the eyes and ears a little break before watching the crazy-Opel action further. PS: Had 3 Kadetts, almost undestructable cars :D Except one, wrecked because of icy-road.
What kind of revs do these engines produce on average? They sound so high, but I can't really imagine them hitting +7k. Most aren't Honda swaps, right?
@LeChar1989 Auf den Autos hab ich die Mechaniker-Lehre gemacht :) Allerdings frage ich mich, wieviel an den Kisten noch Opel ist. Ich meine Kompressoren gehört zu haben ^^

@Racecarwrecks maybe you failed to notice that behind the chicane are trees, not a field. If the chicane would not be there it would be a very fast right hand corner. That would be fine with a field behind but not with a forest directly on the outside of the track. You sound like you find safety a bad thing, and I don´t quite get what is so bad about protecting peoples lifes.

Wie man Lesen kann ist das quasi ein Video für die Opel Community bzw Fangemeinde. Dementsprechend macht es ein total schicken eindruck, wenn irgend ein Pimpf daher kommt und sagt, "Die können alle nicht Fahren und BMW is ja so geil..."
Klar kann ich einstecken. Auf RU-vid, Facebook und co ist man per Du :-) Nur versteh ich nicht warum es immer einen gibt der die Kommentare schlecht machen muss und sagen muss Sinngemäß das ist doch total daneben was du sagst... Dazu ist die Kommentarfunktion doch da das man Kritik auch anbringen darf. Wenn ich schreiben würde du fährst beschi**** oder ähnliches dann kannst gerne sagen eh Junge gehts noch... Muss man also erst Rennfahrer werden um Krisieren zu dürfen O.o
lasst doch einfach mal diesen Kindergarten weg... es gibt gute und schlecht vorbereitete Autos, Anfänger und Profis beim Fahren und vieles hängt auch vom Setup ab. Das kann mal passen und mal eben nicht. Aber eins passt auf keinen Fall, dass ein Fahrer besser dran ist wenn er eine andere Marke fährt... denn sicher fährt er hierdurch nicht automatisch schneller oder eine bessere Linie. Außer vielleicht die Rede wäre von Matchbox, dann wäre das ja was anderes :-)
Ob ich auch solche Kommentare nicht auch verzichten könnte... ;-) Ich habe nur das Video Kommentiert nicht mehr nicht weniger. Eine Subjektive Bewertung meiner Kommentare ist meines erachtens nicht notwendig und auf RU-vid auch nicht vorgesehen. Vielen Dank
Wenn ich mir Minute 1 so anschaue zeigt es doch recht deutlich das Opel Fahrer nicht fahren können... Verbremser, seltsame Linie, benützung des Banketts.... da sind die BMW E30 fahrer schon besser dran... gg
