The Opelousas Senior High School "Tigers" played against the Cecilia High School "Bulldogs" in New Orleans, Louisiana at the Caesars Superdome on Friday, December 8, 2023 at NOON. However, the Opelousas Senior High School "Tigers" beat Cecilia and became known as the "Division II Non-Select" State Champs of LHSAA. Moreover, the City of Opelousas, held the Championship Parade, for the Opelousas Senior High "Tigers" on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 2 PM. Furthermore, the parade route is mainly the Homecoming route. The parade starts at the Opelousas City Hall {N. Main Street} to {Jefferson Street} then onto {S. Union Street} and continues to the Donald Gardner Stadium & South City Park. Note, after the parade, a ceremony was held inside of the Donald Gardner Stadium.
