Open Access journals prepare content for free on the web and charge scholars to disseminate their findings and achievements. In the Open Access journals, the readers have free online access to the content. Adversely, Subscription-based journals usually need readers to pay for the content that they read.
There is a term entitled "Article Publishing Charges (APCs)," which refers to Authors' publishing payments fund open access articles, their institutions, or their funding. Therefore, in the OA type, readers are not charged.
Collaboration among researchers is crucial, and as a pivotal aspect, we should consider it! So, we must present our papers worldwide as soon as they are accepted in a journal. In this regard, many scientists believe that Open Access journals have several advantages over Subscription-based journals.

Hi Soni Thanks for your comment. However, it depends. There are lots of debates about which one is better! In several aspects, sholars believe that subscription one is better since the author doesn't need to pay, most of subscription types have high impact factors and etc. But others believe that OPA are better eventhough the author needs to pay, since the paper can easily read and access by others then that paper can gets several citations. Nevertheless, I am trying to upload a vido for the fundamental differences between two types. Thanks!

For publishing any article, do we need to pay? If subscription has no publishing charge. What does that mean??

For subscription format you don't need to pay any fee. Only, if you want to have the hard copy of your paper (in color print, to your address), then you should pay for that. I prefer to skip the hard copy of my papers, since the online version would be sufficient enough. But it depends on your decision 😊😊😊

Biggest question about open access is how do you trust the peer review? They make money from quantity published, not quality? How do we stop anyone willing to lay from publishing any old bullcrap they want and taint our knowledge base?

You know it depends on the quality indices of the journal. Before you want to make a decision whether an open access journal is good or not, first try to check the quality indices.

Hi dear, subscrtion formats are free. But you should know the rules and terms of the publisher. For example, you can't share the paper for a specific time in a public view, etc.
