Microsoft is planning to provide access to Microsoft Learn to their Role-based certifications. This means you can access the documentation during the exam.
Passed my exam, used the portal once during it due to it being a bit frustrating. You spend too much time on a question researching. You'll eventually find the answer, but you are way better off actually studying the material, using the azure portal, and doing the Microsoft Learn pathways they have for this cert. Study crams help, and even reviewing some of the questions (don't do question/exam dumps... like 10-20% of the questions will actually appear - and they have subtle differences).
I recently took the az104 and found the exam frustrating. The structure of Microsoft exams needs some changes. The open book was present but I found it not much help, I understand they don't want to give you the ability to find all the answers but the docs seem very restricted. Only use it on review questions once you have completed all questions as it is time consuming trying to find what you are looking for. I agree with Andrew aws exams and documentation is way better
I can tell you from experience it's definitely not cheating. It almost caused me to fail last month. I was second-guessing the hell out of my answers. I literally ran out of time, and I've never done that on any cert exam. Doubt I use it again.
@@ExamProChannelIs the open book not only for people that are renewing their cert? Im taking it for the first time this week and didnt know it was open book for first time around
You'll find it frustrating, but yes - you just need to study, do the Microsoft Learn pathway for each cert, and watch some videos. You need practice critical thinking and remember that sometimes you will be asked the same question with a different solution. You need to know how Azure works, so real-time practice in Azure is recommended. You don't need a company for it. John Savills videos are fantastic for studying and cramming if you need it.
AZ-305 is absolutely useless without the ability to properly apply it. The amount of people I know with AZ-305s who know very little about Azure is just crazy.
