There is no doubt in my mind a lehner 3080 has more power than a big bore rcmax/alx but this seems very under performing and the power is somewhat wasted. People have hit close to 70mph on grass with an rcmax 40gt let alone the 80cc engines and an rcmax 71cc has hit 125mph on road in a speed run...if you are going to claim brushless superiority and don't wish to appreciate the sound, smell and long run terms of fuel and the extra soul it has to offer ateast the brushless setup should provide some performance advantage, but atm the way it is geared hitting only around 50mph there is no performance increase, only shorter run times and less excitement overall. I'm intrigued to see what it has to offer when geared higher.

@@DanielK-xn5si it’s all because of the room. This is enough room to go 50 mph. When my street tires come in we will see how fast this buddy really is. Thanks

@BrushlessGuru OK to be more specific looking back at the video it is the old 70cc not 71cc and also converted from kmh to mph it's 119mph, there is another video too a bit slower but more clear...in any case I love brushless and gas, both have their pros and cons, but I'll I'm saying is if the main reason one is to prefer brushless is supposedly performance then it at least needs to perform as good or better than the best gas equivalents. And again I have no doubt a Lehner produces more low down torque, higher overall power and higher max rpm than a gas, but it's not only about all out power. If a big bore gas can hit 80mph on grass, wheelie, rooster, run all day as long as the receiver batter lasts then it more becomes a case of noise and personal preference. Those who truly love mechanical things and engineering tend to love engines. It's like comparing a top of the line synthesiser piano to a Steinway grand piano...of course on paper the electronic piano wins but in reality that acoustic piano has a soul that can't easily be replicated even if it can only produce one type of sound. There is room in the hobby for both, one is not better than the other in all aspects, they both have their pros and cons. I will take a look at your newly uploaded video. Here is a short of the speed run rcmax 70cc 119mph. ru-vid.commHtHW2Kpd8k?si=VgpkmQ6e4EOjfSPl
