Many thanks to everyone that joined the discussion, we had an outstanding engagement through the session 👏 Here are some of our main takeaways from the event:
✔️ Approval is not enough: Apps on prescription need to create traction and therefore have a clear sales strategy.
✔️Apps need to be included as part patient-physician conversation in an open and double sided communication.
✔️Direct-to-consumer is not the perfect solution to overcome the obstacles apps on prescription face. In Europe it has only proved to work in some therapeutic areas, so there is potential for improvement.
✔️Regulation is hard but it's there for a reason. Make a clear plan on how to approach it and don't underestimate it.
✔️Our healthcare system lacks incentives for health and prevention. This is one of the limiting factors for apps on prescription.
We thank again our expert panel who led such a great discussion:
Siro Gottardi, Go-to-market specialist for health technology, PeakSpirit
Dr. Ulrich Muehlner, Co-founder and Chairman of the Board,
docjo.health
Dr. Manuel Puntschuh, Digital health expert, practicing physician
Dr. Maren Schinz, Patient Voice, T1D & Innovation Manager Diabetes Center Berne
