i've never experienced the pain n grief of gentrification as detailed in bbksdd but mike does such a beautiful job of getting the point across that so much more than concrete n drywall gets destroyed when buildings (read: communities) like his r disposed of by someone who sees more profit than humanity. mike wasn't just living in the building, he WAS the building!!

Dope!!!!! Just heard this & on repeat now! Ride down state street bangin this....Glad he addressed this the way he did, just reminiscing on the days of my Taylor bricks.....My old neglected, ignored homebase born & raised now just a few brick 3 stories & a bunch of vacancy on the other side of the street!
