😢 I sat on the side of bed with my mother @ the hospital. Just rubbing my mother back. I just didn't know what u do. I knew time was running out. Cancer. It wasn't nothing more man could do. She kept on praying until that day came. My prayers changed from healing to God don't let my mother stuffer Like this. Shes been a your light as I prayed though out the night, I called upon my deceased brother, her brothers, her mother, aunts & uncles to come and get her. Askn God to release her from this. My Brother and I wipe her face with a cooling towel every so often. This was my second time on a journey like this.That morning I told my mom it ok we got it from here. So my brother/I held our mother in the ICU as she took her last breath. And as a 56yo man I felt like my umbilical cord was cut in that moment,as if I was a baby, when the heart monitor said 0. A EMPTINESS I had never felt came over deep within my gut like a rubber band physically snap back in me.. When my dad died it was hurtful but its Nothing like MY mom. At 644 am 3.9.23. That invisible cord, that cord between a mother & a child was is gone & my reality is my mother is gone. But I did what I was raised to do. As children our first lesson we learn in Sunday school is the 10 commandments. ITS says honor thy father & mother. The morning of the funeral, I woke up because of a voice I could clearly hear but no one else. It said" son stop your tears for today as you honored me on my day u must honor your mother today by speaking about her". Its was my dad voice. The stories I told about her and how she did the job of 2. Let me stop. Mom I luv u & I never forget that luv. I'll do my best Bc Im your son. Parents be parents not friends to your kids so when the day come when u can no longer speak for yourself let your children be your testimony. I open this testimony to the world. Even tho I'm still blessed with a wife & kids the 🌎 doesn't feel the same.
