5:36 That scene is satisfying not only because of Shaw’s defeat but also because the other animals saw how lucky they were that the Boog they were messing around with wasn’t the scary version they just saw.
Exactly, and considering what a grizzly bear can do, if Shaw were any saner than he is insane, he wouldn’t have gone hand to hand with one of the most formidable terrestrial land carnivores on this planet. I mean, in real life, in North America at least, the only thing the grizzly bear has to worry about primarily are humans, and even then, even a human can still end up as lunch, other than that, the grizzly really fears nothing else. (I’m not going to mention diseases or parasites)
In reality Boog could actually take a few bullets and a knife stab and be fine. Bears are much more dangerous than you think. Grizzly bears also have knives for claws.
I don't think enough people realize how lucky Shaw got. A pissed off grizzly can slap-box with enough force to decapitate a moose, and that's just the tip of the iceberg on how badly one can, in layman's terms, royally fuck your shit up.
bones are twice as strong per square inch under pressure, not from being pierced i'm pretty sure if you shot a bone along with an piece of steel the steel would dent whilst the bone would shatter
Why in the movies they die they shoot at specific places like the heart or brain but you have to get through the skull but yeah it’s a movie what I’m saying is if you get shot in the elbow you would get hurt but not die but if you shoot st the vital organs like the heart then your doomed
Since Shaw had been antagonizing Boog throughout the entire movie as a result of his insane beliefs that he was superior to all other animals, I cannot begin to describe how satisfying it was to see his delusional denial finally catch up with him when Boog's true bear instincts manifested and allowed him to instantly overpower Shaw. If this movie were rated R or even PG-13, I sure would have hated to be part of the clean-up crew that collects Shaw's remains after Boog is done with him...
Yeah and technically animals don’t talk. 🤣. Not hating btw. It is a kid movie and we shouldn’t focus on the details. But I see where you are coming from
Open Season is such an underrated movie franchise. Shaw got what he deserved for being prideful in killing multiple animals for sport with the dumb excuse of them rising on top above humans. Boog found his inner bear when he thought Elliot died getting shot, and luckily didn't mame the hell out of Shaw like grizzly bears usually do just so the hunter wouldn't shoot any other animals.😊🐻🦌🌲
I never saw this movie with the original usa dub, but I always remembered the characters When I heard the big muscle deer VA I just shout out loud *"OF COURSE ITS HIM"*
An entire battle- firing lines, explosions, and all- is taking place in the woods. What does the sheriff do? He just calmly sits back and lets the park ranger go to retrieve the bear who’s involved. Gotta love Gordy. 😂
