I wanted to express my gratitude for your well-explained tutorial on srsRAN 5G + Open5GS. Although I had successfully installed and run the setup prior to discovering your video, your detailed walkthrough provided valuable insights that enhanced my understanding. Initially, I noticed the omission of the nrf.yml configuration in the Open5GS setup, which I thought to bring to your attention. However, you adeptly addressed it towards the end of the tutorial, showcasing the importance of troubleshooting practices. Thank you for sharing such informative content. Your efforts in creating these tutorials are greatly appreciated and contribute significantly to the community.
Thank you for this well-explained tutorial ! I have done all the installations but I have an error dealing with gpsdo. I set the clock to internal because I don't have any GPSDO but it is not working. Do you know any alternative ?
@@nuradioconcepts I commented out sync and set clock to external because i am using LEA-M8T-0 with a GPS Antenna. It is not working maybe i have to buy a GPSDO
@@nuradioconcepts I don't mean ueransim but original ue aka smartphones like redmi, samsung etc because I've tried installing it but the biggest problem is srsran can't connect 2 or more smartphones. do you have a solution? Thanks
I am using a USRP B210, srsRAN currently only supports the USRP UHD RF Driver for 5G. You can use UERANSIM to conenct to Open5GS if you want to simulate the 5G gNB and 5G UE without any hardware.
@@nuradioconcepts many many thanks , could you please tell me all the equipment that you used in this project? such as GPSDO, Antenna or sim card and which brand should I use for doing this tutorial successfully?
@@khashayarvaladi3854 USRP B210 with GPSDO using Panorama LPBEM-6-60 Magnetic Mount SISO LTE 5G LTE Cellular Antennas Motorola Moto G Power 5G 2023 (UE) with sysmocom and smartjac 5G NR SA Null Encrypted SIM cards System76 Galago Pro 12 Cor Intel i5, 16 GB RAM DDR4, 512 GB SSD running Ubuntu 22.04 LTS
@@nuradioconcepts tried them both, but I just followed what you did. The webui.service just stops working after running for 1 second or so. But i'm getting help in the open5gs discord.
@@nuradioconcepts Got it up and running. just wondering if you can connect a phone without knowing their IMSI or is this only working with known phones?
@@randommemedude2515 The phone needs to be known in the subscriber database in order to connect to the network. The IMSI, K, OPc, APN and APN type need to match what is configured on the SIM card/phone. If the device is not in the database, the network will reject it.
