Idk about the controversy, First time watching striver video. But the questions he asked are genuine questions that comes to a new comers mind. Great video if we see past the controversy. Not on any specific team here. But Kunal rocks🙌
yesterday dsa give job so make course on them and earn today open source give job so make course on them and earn tomorrow x give job so make course on them and earn , that is part of life
@@MukeshYadav-wb5uo i know, in history there are developers who were able to code in assembly and there were also people who build game fully in assembly without any chat gpt or google so it's not impossible to study on our own but determination should be next level
People say I am making it paid so you will be serious about the course... Then why it is 6000 , why you can't make it 10k, 20k, 30k and... lakhs, it will make more serious
Bro is here because image of striver is good till now because of free course, and also there is a existing controversy b/w striver and kunal... That's why kirat is taking the advantage of clearing his image and also a reply indirectly to kunal
I watch and learn from both of you, and from kunal as well....sad to see what happened recently Just wish to grow all together in challenging times like now... Also my advice to new comers: explore everything if you have time... In first and second year of college do DSA and CP...then also explore ML, dev and Blockchain as well... BUILD SKILL..then do open source... 'am yet to start with open source, but gonna do it soon... Just be open to learn anything coming in the way...HAPPY CODING!
I think starting with open source in first year is much better, maybe you can even get accepted into gsoc by 2nd year, afterall solving issuesand features for organisations is a software engineer's entire life so it'd be more insightful, people do DSA only for job interviews so it can be done a little on the side and more during the end of college before applying for jobs
As a Google Germany SWE, i can confirm all these points. Students shouldn't follow people like KK. It would destroy your career. And i say this as a Tier 3 student myself. I studied from BIT Patna and got my job off-campus. This is KK in a nutshell. Can't get into IIT -> IIT is overrated Can't get good at CP -> CP is overrated Can't get into FAANG -> FAANG is overrated If the phrase "Angoor khatte hai" needs a face it's KK.
@@newbieguy2509 who's earning more? Do u even know how much i earn? 😉 And let's not talk about clearing interviews and getting calls from recruiters. I've done both + have a job as well
@@newbieguy2509 the first line of your comment says different... anyways there's no point in arguing. If you want to prove me wrong, follow KK advice...and then let me know which big tech company you land a job at.

Striver for DSA Harkirat for Open Source and Development Arpit Bhayani for his extraordinary in depth and deep dive videos. These are some of the RU-vid channels where you can get an ocean of knowledge.
I failed jee two times with 4 lakh rank And my parents aren't financially capable to take admission in any private college either So I have decided to do bsc in computer science in our state University where there is zero placement ....... Am I on a right path to become a software engineer ... Because many influencers says that digree and College Doesn't matter to become a software engineer ?????
Bro Btech is preferred but if it is not possible then you can go with BCA/BSc and then MCA. But choose a college with no compulsory attendance and focus on DSA and your development skills
Kunal striver this all guys are very good and hardworking but their ways are different nothing wrong both are doing good in their life but open source for beginner is very tough so if you want you can try after securing at least one job
4:44 striver sir was right i joined pw web dev course it was my biggest mistake the course quality is worst and thier teacher's are more worst i requested for refund but they dont give me refund.
My advice : People who are from mech, elect or any other branch follow these Indian youtubers. While people who are in CS and got a good logical skills follow kunal, harkit and other foriegn youtubers. Even this conversation is happening because some stubborn guy on youtube came forward and said "there is more beyong faang... And if you want to learn then you can learn anything for free...". Even I also got a clear understanding of Open source just because of Kunal.
I'm not anyone's fan or blind follower. But I will say one thing for sure that this conversation is happening because of KK stressing on Open Source and Remote Jobs. Definitely it's not easy to land Remote Jobs but atleast he took the time and spoke about it!
We are fully hope that you will teach the required skills and it is another great things that you did not promise that anyone get the job after your course. It is really a create thing to avoid the false promises so at the end we need the required skills during the course
A very enriching and engaging session from 2 stalwarts of the industry!! Great to see these 2 legends trying to grow the pie bigger as compared to try and take share of the pie!!
Take a way from this conversation Upgrade skills, you can survive. I am a qa guy but I solve questions from striver sheet to make myself better each day from shit
First of all thank you to both the youtubers for bringing up this video, it was really interesting 🧡 and got many queries clear of my mind , also I guess (many college students like me) would like to hear your views on directly getting into AI field from the college .., would it give a bigger push to career as we know eventually we need to change and adapt the evolving tech.
please do more of these videos and trigger kunal.. he might complete his promised playlists some time in future... After those playlists.. lemme tell you striver and all, you guys wont even be a match for him.. just irregularity and using free as a excuse to delay are his negatives.. if he has consistency as striver then you all would be history.. believe me.. any body can come and talk anything u want in my replies.. kunal kushwaha is the best out there.. Harikirat and Kunal collab is the only thing that can blow youtube. striver content is cool too, hes great but not a match to KK 🕶️ Harikirat is a nice guy, i didnot expect him to do this collab.. I like both striver and kunal.. I only hate kunal for his inconsistency.. Im in Harikirats cohort, he is trying very hard to make it the best.. I admire that man.. I hope it would be a great journey
Lmao kk's content quality has dropped a lot, his tree video was so average I think he is only good at teaching the easier topics I wanna see how he teaches dp(if he even does)
Great insights here however regarding documentation issues , I am myself a complete beginner learning React and I look for documentation issue cause that's way how'll get familiar with codebase . Did started slowly with readme docs and now currently contributing to solve an actual bug!. As a beginner it's completely fine to start with docs issue while upskilling yourself!
Just a thought “The hiring matrix set by big tech & copied by others is just to gate-keep innovation.” Suppose you’re exploring machine learning or any other innovative problem and suddenly you remember damn I forgot how to add 2 No as a linked list and return as same .
I am first year student, is it possible to get a good job in 4 years as a Blockchain developer instead of full stack web developer I don't know 1)comparative time, skills, work require to get into both field 2) high quality full stack web developement course and guides is easily available than blockchain 3) I don't know anything accept that blockchain developers skill are more valued than full stack developers skill
Bhai no hate to you, but tu Coding Ninja ki sponsorship mat lia kar bhai. Mene teri video pe ad dekh ke Development la course buy karlia tha now i am using RU-vid rather than that course. Vo course sai ni h.
You should do whatever motivates you and takes you forward, like Manlinga and Zaheer khan has very different bowling style but both are really good at taking wickets and winning matches same goes for open source and DSA as long as you are able to deliver good product or solution there is nothing wrong in either.
@@sober_junkie5709 Please rethink about your statement after understanding what DSA actually stands for and what do you write to start building a software product, maybe you are confusing DSA with competitive programming. Now there are different ways to practice DSA mentioning 2 of the most widely used - 1. Start working on projects by collaborating in open source where you can learn good software engineering practices while practicing DSA implementations. 2. Start doing competitive coding where you can also practice DSA implementations by solving different problem statements and also get information on solving it using different approaches from the community.
@@shaifaslam by dsa im assuming its the solving of puzzles on leetcode Also software products arent written right away, that involves the sdlc which is swe. Hence the distinction between dsa and development .Im not denying that you dont use those concepts at all, just saying that its bare use doesnt have any significant weightage in development of products
@@sober_junkie5709 yeah, it depends on what role you are working in and your team size. There are different roles in software engineering like software architects, product owner, SDET, SDE/SWE, SRE, devOps to take care of different responsibilities in SDLC to build and maintain your product. Being a SDE/SWE your primary task would be to work on business logic layer and it's interconnecting layers which requires good DSA and tech stack knowledge. In my opinion for every role they have their important skill sets and every role is equally important in product development.
24:41 Striver :- trust me , I think harkirat has achieved a lot of things in his field. so all we know brother harkirat is also an IITian. it simply means he has achieved, and harkirat try to prove himself by the striver that he is good or not.
Bhaiyya BE and BTech same hota hain na ? I mean inka value same hi hain na ?Off campus placement me kya BTech ke students ko zada prefer karte hain compare to BE students?
