this spider capo is a great idea...but basicaly it's crap...bought two of the (one broke as it arrives) and both were really bad for guitar neck, leaving scratch on it...oh and it's take a looong time to put on correctly , so unusable live....
This is the fourth video I've watched on the spider capo and none of you guys have bothered to actually tune your guitars. What is the deal? If it is not in tune it sounds like shit. You can't possibly think that you are in tune. Can't you hear how off it is?
it always falls on "deaf ears". I've given up. they don't hear it. try listening to pianos online! even so called "engineered" sessions. KEXP has a studio grand that is so insanely out of tune it will make you ill.
@@AndySalinger33 Yes, I know. I have had people try and defend themselves by saying things like, "It's only a little out of tune". I play a 12 string a lot of the time and the way they are made with just a single saddle without the room on it to fully compensate for the string length differences ( The different diameters transfer to different lengths) makes a 12 string impossible to intonate correctly. There is no reason that the manufacturers can't fix this problem with an extra thick saddle because I have seen a 12 string with a custom made bridge set-up that eliminated this problem. When I have mentioned this to people the overwhelming majority of people say, "That out of "tuneness" is part of the charm of a 12 string." No, it is not! All it is is out of tune. That is not charming in any way. Sorry for ranting, Andy Trullinger. I'll be alright now.
I understand, the idea. Yet open A works since you can only shorten the strings. I have no idea for open G eycept using the open A position shown in the video and tune the guitar one note lower like they do in heavy metal bands
