I thought the same when I first heard about it, and although some things are similar to Pokémon. They still have base building, breeding and interesting PvP so I’ll still be playing regardless lol

GameFreak hasnt made a good original pokemon game in like 15 years. Almost all of the 3d pokemon games are dogshit not to mention the newer switch games that are open world are god awful piles of shit.

FR, I have a modded switch and I dont buy any pokemon games anymore... Waste of money. I just bought palworld with no Idea how to play or what it is...

Except Palworld isn't a Pokémon game in the traditional sense thus not a direct competition gameplay wise to mainstream and other Pokémon games. It's a survival crafting simulator much more akin to ARK, Rust, Valheim, etc. etc. The only thing similar to Pokémon is the aesthetic which the creatures being called "Pal" and Poké Ball called "Pal Sphere". The design of all the Pals themselves are very much AI generated clones of Pokémon. If anything, Palworld is way closer to Nintendo's Legend of Zelda BotW with eerily similar movement, combat, crafting and base building system.
