The Oxymoron of spending hours learning your AE and Blender tutorials so an arrogant techbro uses this instead of actually hiring someone who knows about it. This is quite a bullet to the foot for creative channels.

Yeah.. we might realise what's AI because we've seen it come in. The next generation of people won't.

It's all pretty strange to me. The use of generative AI and Neural networks could have been concentrated in it's efforts to do any number of things, but instead of trying to find a cure for cancer the folks instead decided to scrape data from the arts and music_ but to what end? It strikes me a rather nihilistic move because ultimately if anyone anywhere can simply type an idea for a song, an image, a video, or name the creative endeavor _ it ends up devaluing it for everyone as opposed to being of any real benefit to whoever prompted it into existence (unless of course they intend to pass it off as their own original creation) but the motivation to do the real work of creating is being threatened. And ultimately without the continued exploration and creation of new ideas on the part of humanity the AI is destined for a feedback loop, but not before robbing the world of the joy of the arts and music. But with that all being said: once pandoras box was opened it was impossible to close it back again and that is the reality of where we are headed with AI at this point.

It was inevitable and the reason why this is happening it's because its easier to do video and images than help with medical stuff and it will help in those field's

@@Wyn3e and by easier you mean it's easier to roll musicians and artists than it is entrenched medical professionals who have more to gain by folks being sick all the time than everyone with a clean bill of health?? I don't buy the inevitable argument because it strikes me as one of determinism_ one which just says oh well it's the way it was going to be and so on. The thing is whether meta/facebook or, or Apple, or Open AI etc. All these companies can talk about the democratization of access all they'd like to_ the truth is that they stand to profit with the technology. And profit sizeably. Folks like to give the luddites a hard time and everything but at the end of the day they lost their ability to provide for their families and it all got marked up as the "progress of man." The least that could be done was to rehabilitate them into other jobs, but at the time folks just said it was 'inevitable, " and so they joined all the others displaced by technology over the centuries.

Done get me wrong_ I am not trying to be a Debbie downer, but by taking away from the creative endeavors I do worry about the the way it could feed nihilism. To quote the late Bob Welch in his Sentimental gentle wind song_"cause we live in a time when meaning falls in splinters from our lives ..." I'd prefer it if my estimation turns out to be wildly inaccurate, but I don't see a lot of folks questioning the moves AI is making as much as standing back gobsmacked in awe and helpless to address it all in any meaningful way.

@@randydean23 ofc I can see the issue that people have but I always end up saying the way technology is growing such things are inevitable currently 2 frens I do have are using AI to help the find new styles for their art to use themselves

The AI problem is not AI, it’s people wanting quick profit over anything else.

It takes me a while to make my videos and I have other things going on in life besides RU-vid so hitting the latest news isn’t a particular priority at the moment for me :) Also, just for the math, I’m 8 days late to the party 🎈
