Great video man !! I really loved the way you guys talked in-depth about CFD. Thanks a lot, Jousef for this video, and Thanks a lot Jozsef Nagy for your awesome Tutorials!! They are helping me a lot.
Thanks Jousef for this great episode! I really enjoyed this one ;) I've learned a lot from Jozsef YT channel and can really recomend that one for everybody who is looking up to how to start journey with CFD, and specially with Open Foam software. Best wishes for both of You guys ;)
If someone decides to use and learn OpenFOAM, spending time on it is very important, you have to dive into the source code and see how it works, gonna be a little hard and boiling until you could understand the whole structure and do things interesting.
Thanks for this podcast! For whoever OpenFOAM beginner, they must've been watched the JN channel. Theo Ong channel is good also for some foamers, try to contact and make podcast with him, thanks!
CFD is more focused on engineering rather than research, at least for most of us, it is a simple tool, you need it to tell you what would happen and why it happens. Most of us don't really need open-source code, Ansys rules.
It really depends on who you are and what you want to accomplish. For academic purposes, OF is a good start and without having to commit to any upfront investment, it is one of the better options out there for sure. If you are a designer and want to deal less with the hassle of "numerics" for example, SimScale is a good way to get started.
I've seen some of your videos. They are absolutely great! I'm currently trying to set a very very simplified case of a 3d sloshing tank (laminar, incompressible) with a floating object. can u give me a clue of how to join the 2 cases?
