Holy crap! I just happened to a search for hole fishing to explain to somebody what I did for my very first project straight out of college. I did the animations in this video. Circa 1993. Was working for production company in Houston. Knew nothing about any of this and had to read through a book and meet with Engineers on how all the stuff works. I look at it now and the animations are so rudimentary haha.
Working on a triple box on box Kelly drilling rig back in 04, we were drilling surface, we were around 2500 or 3500 ft, were doing a short trip, had a few stands of drill stem set back in the Derek ,came up to the 6/12 collars, set collar slips, collar band was on. Collars slipped and fell in the hole, the tool pusher managed to fish the collars back out, only by using the drill pipe and spin it back on ,barley enough to get the rest out the whole.
amazing video guys , thank you so much , you know my prof in the college could't explain the fishing process as you did ,even at least 20% , that is the real meaning of remote learning . Greeting from egypt ,greeting from suez U
Working with some old perfuration diares I keep seeing a operation called "String shot", and couldn't recognise this in this or other videos. Some experienced in the fishing operations could give me a tip about what is it?
