Wow DK that was rough. I think there is batching issues with this set. I opened up one of each of the products on release day and pulled 2 SIR's, 2 full arts and a couple art rares. From what I have heard the booster bundles are the best product.

I’ve fallen for the poster collection trap twice. I think to myself “12 packs for $60… not bad!” Then I pull nada. I got into 151 in December. Started w a UPC & 2 ETBs, & got a Zard in each!! As of now, 19 cards away from my master set. Thanks for sharing & good luck!

The pull rates for AR and SAR's is the same for 151 and Obsidian Flames. (hit/pack) It's just that you don't have a booster box available to buy with "guaranteed pulls" in a box. Also 151 packs are more expensive^^

yeah I think we were talking in the discord about this issue as well. My argument however was that in previous ETB cases, you were guaranteed normally an alt, etc. But in my etb case, I pulled 3 or 4 golds and not a single alt, which kinda led me to believe that batching was an issue. Could be just me but who knows lol

Feels like there should have been a happy medium but my guess is that their thinking was "harder pull rates will lead to more product being purchased." Which, unfortunately, is spot on. Personally, I would prefer to have a set like Obsidian Flames than open a set like this, Fusion Strike, or Evolving Skies.

its a collector set. Pokémon knows this is the og Pokémon and people want it. This is not for playing to be honest. its for collectors and they made the pull rates high to rank in that cash on this bet.

Dang. That was rough. My brother and I both were fortunate. I bought the poster box, etb and collectors binder and ended up with 4 alt arts, 2ex cards and the special full alt art zapdos. My brother got 2 ex cards, 2 alt art cards and the special full art Erika's invitation.

The pull rates for this set are awful. It's one thing to have the rates for the SIR's low, but to not pull AR's or even EX's at a decent rate is trash. I like to open packs, but this set just seems like a brutal cash grab. Thanks for the content DK!

I’m hoping at this point all the hits are routed to the UPC. Maybe they overcompensated for how few hits were in the Charizard IPC and ALL the hits are in the 151 UPC. To make it worth the cost.

It's what we call in the industry the never ending pack magic LOL I've gotten super lucky for this set, but I think drop rates are mostly due to the huge set count and more reverse holos?

HAHAHAA and yeah honestly not sure. Its just weird that they made pulling AR's sooo difficult. Makes it tougher to enjoy the pack opening experience.

I absolutely can’t buy anything in my country because of the markup.. it’s ridiculous! The sellers who have stock are selling at Pokémon center prices, if I really cannot tough it out till Black Friday, I may have to visit the Pokémon center to get some 😅

Singapore 😢 price mark up is due to currency conversion and import fees.. the average pricing we get is never as low as in the US
