QB you didnt notice that when you get an animation-worthy reward, the case opens blue rather than gold (for the first set)

When you open a lootbox, it shows blue glitter instead of gold if you get a tier 8 or 9 or even a 3D Style

I bought 12 boxes and got very lucky! Got both a Tiger-Maus and an Object 752

I did 251 boxes as well this year, seems like the drop chances for Tier 8s went down. I got over 200k gold last year (mostly from compensation) and only 130k this year. Those boxes are also more expensive than last year.

I haven't played this game in 3 years, but this makes me want to buy boxes, lol. Opening the boxes is so satisfying. These boxes should be illegal.

I noticed, when you get a blue light / smoke from a box it gives you something big like 3d style or premium tank.

Concerning the "too many styles" problem: I totally feel the same way. It would be awesome if we could have the option to use multiple styles on a vehicle. For example give us the option to use one style per map type, or let us make presets for a tank which get picked randomly for each battle.

I admit I bought 240 boxes and got everything possible, plus with gold for duplicate tanks ended up with 112,000 gold! The main thing is that I can now enjoy the Christmas period in WoT without worrying about grinding 😊

Got the 28 box pac. Ended with the tiger mouse by the 3rd box, the 63 by box 6 and the american td by box 27. I got another 28 coss needed the cristals and got no more tanks but by last box i had all the skins as well.

A single video with a game in each of the lower tier prems would be cool to watch!🥳

We are doing this for like 5 or 6 years now and QB still didnt notice that blue smoke from the box means high tier prem tank or 3D style xd

I consider myself extremely lucky because my 100 boxes got me all the high tier tanks, 46.800 Gold (including compensation for doubles), 4.400.000 credits, 6 3D styles and 46 premium days. Plus of course all the low tier tanks. 😊

Managed to get all 5 tanks in my first 70 boxes (bought 240 package) but like QB had very few appear in the last 70 or so boxes. Overall got 130k gold and 10mil credits. Forget to check on premium days. Skins wise, I got them all in my first 50 boxes.

I got some boxes today and the first box I opened, BAM XM66F! Ended up pulling the Tiger Maus and the Type 63 as well.

I have 4 years of premium time from LAST YEAR HOPs!!! I would love to see WG use an adaptive LOOT mechanic for these kinds of things...

i got 160 boxes and got everything new with 15 boxes to spare. Pretty good this year. The fact that there are no filler tanks is really good.

Bought 166 boxes in total and get all tanks, even mouse and type63 X2 (gold compensation) low tier not to mention, all 3d styles, tons of gold (for less money then gold bundles)...very happy with boxes rng😇🤗

I somehow got every single new tank, except for the Obj. 752 in the 80 box bundle. Needless to say, I'm beyond excited that I got to max out my festive atmosphere, and get almost everything for $106. I got 26 boxes till I get the 752 for sure, so I may spend that extra $40 or so. I am just happy holiday ops is a complete 180 from last year for me ($500 and no 283 till the WT E-100 event...). I opened 12 boxes - cost me $21.59 and I got 4250 Gold (value in shop $20.36), the cat, 6 Premium days, 1.1 million credits 2 decorations and 3 low tier tanks - not fantastic but OK

I bought the 80 box package and I was able to get all premium tanks (2 tier IX, 2 tier VIII, 2 Tier V, 1 tier IV, 1 tier III, and 1 tier II) except for the GSOR 1010 FB, which I already have. I recieved 2 3D style, and I got the cat. I'm amazed on how lucky I was.

i opened 160 and never got a good tank just in the 50th boxes only! but i did get all the new 3d styles. I did get the mini maus, the stupid british runner and the obj. 2/3 for me. But Was the boxes more expesive this year?

For every one reported they got a Tier 8 or 9 vehicles in just a few boxes, I wonder how many ended up like me - 25 boxes, NOT A SINGLE vehicle, not even low tier ones... NO single style either! Best I got was just 750 gold... Last couple of years, after 25 boxes, I would've at least gotten a couple of premium tanks, 1 year I even got a tier 8 one... so far the result for this year is just down right sad. 😭😭😭

These unboxing runs remind me of some outrageously good luck I had in the 2018-19 Festive period. I purchased 11 boxes because I wanted to complete a decoration set, and I knew that in 11 boxes I would be able to one way or another. It cost £17.10, and here's what I got: 500k credits, 4750 gold, skins for the T57 Heavy and Grille 15, KV-220-2, E25, Defender, AND IS-3A. I got at least £200 worth of content for just over £17. I havent opened any more boxes bc I know my luck would be horrendous.

This year I got all the new styles +2 extra from last year. 5 ARMTs, 6 Vickers 6t, 8 IT3s, 1 chaffe 594, 3, A7E3. 1 GSOR 1010FB, 1 obj 752, 1 XM66F, 1 type 63 and a TigerMaus. Total of 67500 Gold and 11.500.000 Credits and enough to get Xmas lvl to lvl 10 and all Vinnies achivements and 100 days of Premium

Last year bought 28 boxes. Just one style (FV5004), gold and premium day's. No tanks at all, not even the lower tier ones. Hope this year will be better.

I opened 80 boxes but only got the GSOR… Luckily I felt this years tanks were pretty bad and only got the boxes for the gold/prem time

I bought 160, got the T/Maus second box, all other tanks, T/Maus again, a second T8 again so ended up with 94.5k gold, 9.6m creds, Cat, 5 styles, 104 days prem. Good value thanks...and Merry Christmas everyone

I want to quickly point out that the stated average of 534.2 gold per box is a bit of an overestimation, since you have added the compensation gold for duplicate tanks in your calculation. If you factor these in, you received 88,100 gold from 250 boxes = 352.4 gold per box, before duplicate compensations. I feel this gives a more accurate picture for people who don't buy as many boxes, since your chance for more gold gets a lot higher once you've received all available tanks at least once. Getting a tier VIII from the 4th box is huge. It pretty much guarantees you an extra tier VIII/IX or gold compensation, if you play your cards/boxes right.

I love this time of year in WOT. The Boxes are a great way to top up for the year.

Please do a ROI for these boxes over the years since its seems that the return has been getting smaller every year.

The boxes were more exspensive in america this year as well. But For the boxes Man I got Super lucky I bought 80 boxez and in the first 20, I got the Gsorr 1010FB, Xm66f, type 63, Tiger Muas, Object 752, phase 1 skin, I wasnt complaining but I started to feel like the RNG was broke lol

Don't be fooled, WG were legally forced to list the drop rates for the gambling boxes. They didn't do it through care of their player base and to prevent gambling addiction.

Prices doubled in the US from what I'm told. No longer 50 for 50, it's 28 for 50.

Yesterday, for 51 boxes I got: - Tiger Maus, Type 63, Gsor 1010. - Two low tier tanks. - E75 and AE skin. - 33 days premium, 2 mil credits and 18k gold. I took two years break from the game. Is this ok?

So I bought 240 boxes, but I got much more lucky here... I got 12 tier 8/9 prems (never once with the guaranteed mechanic) I got 178500 gold (I had the GSOR allready just like QB) I got all 5 styles (after about 65 boxes) I got 10 million credits This makes me feel very happy about my luck this year 😊

Why is there different kinds of boxes? I'm looking for a review about this whole Holiday Ops thing that points out where to spend money (if any). The gold amount barely lasts you two auctions, if it goes like past year

128 here, got Tiger Maus and 752 in 30 boxes, then the 63 and GSOR in the rest. Sconq, E-75, Char and Cobra skins. 10 of the small tanks.

Solution to style delema: Make a favorites system to randomly change to a favorite style before or after every battle so you dont have to choose!

It's been years but QB still hasn't noticed the boxes glow blue when you actually get something rare.

Ive noticed with the boxes when the colours go from gold to blue as the box opens.. means you getting a better "gift" inside

I was lucky this year. I wanted AE and S. Conq 3D styles badly and Type 63 Tank... Bought 28 boxes and got Type 63 and XM66F in first 6 boxes and from all others 4 styles (S.Conq, AE, E 75, GW E 100) 13k gold, 30 prem days. Not bad.

This year was ridiculous for me after 240 boxes I got: 14 large tanks (122 boxes for all the first 5 I didn't had) 5.8% chance 16 small tanks (yes just slightly more than the large ones) 6.7% chance 5 styles (47 boxes) Cat (1 box) 191 days of prem 161.250 gold (didn't had the gsor but got the tigermaus 2 bonus times) 18.000.000 credits

I dont know if I am lucky, but in 92 boxes i got all the tanks, except for the GSOR 1010FB, which i had from before. I got all the new advertised 3D skins, some 52k gold and some 110 days of premium account (my apologies for not keeping the scores correctly). I didnt win anything worth mentioning until the box 32, and from there every 6-8 boxes i had a good one

I opened 240 boxes for ~£240. Got every single tank and skin, on top of 162,700 gold and 10,200,000 credits. If I wanted to buy just the gold alone, that would of been £457.95, so not the worst deal in the world. Edit: Although I did get all four new tanks within the first 120 boxes.

Just a heads up, if these boxes sell poorly compared to last year, wargaming with have 0 reason to make the tanks in these boxes balanced ever again. These tanks, save for the tiger-maus, looks pretty balanced, no BZ-176 levels of OP, if they sell bad, WG will take the complaints for the better income.

So what happens with the styles if you don't own the tanks? I only own the AE Phase 1.

So i opened 95 boxes, and wound up with 3 of the tanks ( 63, 66, and 1010), 35k gold, and 87 days premium, handful of the low tier tanks, but already had so they got turned into 500 gold each. Unsure about pushing my luck for a t9 since i'm right at the switchover where i need another 50 boxes for guaranteed tank. My luck last yr was only 2 t8 for 100 boxes. Would have liked to have the tiger maus, but i'm happy. Got gold and premium for cheaper and 3 new tanks.

So far I've purchased 31 boxes and have gotten the Obj.752 and the skin for the AE1. Fortunately, I'm liking the 752 more than I thought I would. My intention is to stop after I get the second tank, whether I get the one I want most (Type 63) or not; this is also keeping in mind that I know I'm going to receive some boxes from a Twitch streamer who I moderate for.

Got everything in about 110-120 boxes, I'll probably still buy another set of boxes at the start of next month just to top to gold up.

How do we know its random for QB? Easy enough for WG to alter the chances per user

Do you know that when you open a box and it has a blue glow from inside then it contains either a big tier premium tank or a 3D style. By the lack of reaction to the blue color it seems like you didn't know that, correct me if I'm wrong.

Bought 28 boxes -- 44 dollar US First box I opened I got the type 63. Roughly 15 box in I got the Gsor. Then I got the vickers and about 3 - 3d styles. Pretty good for 44 dollars.

i bought the 80 box combo, i got every tank at least once, 53k gold, 2-3 3d skins and silver, i literally got everything i wanted plus some. surprised to get all 5 new tanks within 80 boixes, i figured it would be rigged as hell.

I had no luck when opening 5 at a time. Went back to one at a time seemed to get better wins.

I used to get boxes for the gold, but this year not a chance, WG have made buying gold direct cheaper so even with a 50 box guarantee for a big tank it just isn't value anymore if you have to use the guaranteed drop. However, when I did a rough maths on your 133,000 gold for 250ukp that is getting way more back than you 'paid'. 33,000 for 85ukp. So if you are going to gamble getting 250 boxes is probably the best way to get your cash value? I don't know what the minimum number you'd need but I am betting 50 isn't going to be value, 150 might be and 80 50/50 of value

I bought 240 boxes and I got everything u can get, all tanks, all styles + GSOR duplicate and XM66F duplicate, so I had great luck

After 80 boxes I got one tier 9 prem, one style, and all the baby premiums. It was NOT the TigerMaus.

The problem is there is a 2% chance to get A style. Not a specific one. So this means if there are like 5 new and 5? old ones you dont have, its actually 0,2% to get the style you want!

I got so lucky o_O At box 66 right now, got all 5 big tanks and already 2 on top converted to gold. As this is the only time of the year i spend on WoT, since you usually get the most gold for your bucks, i was hoping for some nice amount of shinies with SOME premium tanks as bonus. But this is just awesome...
