When Mattel made its dolls well, with love, with QUALITY

My Scene walked so Monster High could run! They also helped improve the Barbie brand a lot:) They might be lesser known than Bratz, but they are sure as iconic xx

If Mattel re-released My Scene dolls with elbow and knee articulation, they'd be a hit. Unfortunately, I'd be super surprised if they did that. They'd rather release unarticulated dolls with ugly face screenings, then wail over why the company isn't doing better at the moment.

I LOVE My Scene dolls! I have about 30 of them, and tons of their clothes. Everything is such good quality, they have all held up over time whether I have stored them, displayed them or played with them. One of my favorite is the Swappin Styles. I have the case that holds 6-8 heads, and even without bodies, they are BEAUTIFUL. I miss that quality. My favorites are probably Madison and Chelsea, but they are all exquisite. Happy 20th Anniversary My Scene!

I loved seeing you unbox this beauty! So many memories. I also grew up with these dolls and love them to death, their more mature looks is what always drew me to them more than Bratz. My fondest memory of myscene is the time I got 4 of them as a gift while I was down with the flu for 2 weeks, it was such a nice feeling to unbox them and play with them when I was feeling so sick. Now 20 years later (damn I feel old) I'm growing my myscene collection, getting all those dolls I missed out on as a kid. I still feel that giddy feeling I felt that day 😊

I recently found a myscene while thrifting and have a really hard time identifying them but then I noticed yours had the same earnings as mine.....and also the same metal waist chain as mine.....and the same screening! Can’t believe I found her in the wild like that!

Tbh, despite removing the second outfits in rainbow high, MGA as a whole has just remained great in quality, attention to detail, and been WAY BETTER with reproductions. Mattel really needs to step it up.

I loved my scene when I was a kid. I display my Barbie in chronological order and I had to get this one and the project runway Barbie to help represent the 00’s

Even though I do collect My Scene dolls but I’ll admit they deserves to their shine more just like the Bratz. My stories about My Scene was I had so many memories about them when I was younger because I use to own Spring Break Bryant and I would use to play with his boombox all the time. He looked like that dude from American Idol. And my cousins use to own of lot of My Scene dolls, i remember I first held Back To School Madison in my hands back in 2004 even when I use to go to my cousins house all the time. Around the time that the Bling Bling dolls came out, my cousin had Chelsea and I would play the heck of her even though she was naked. But this was some good memories I shared with them. Also I love Goes Hollywood and i remember when it premiered on Nickelodeon. Like I was so obsessed with Lindsay in that movie. Chile, Madison did the most. Now, I can bring back memories by collecting My Scene dolls again. I began collecting these back in 2015 by rediscovering them again.

I never got to have the dolls myself, (I’m an ‘04) but I’d spend hours on the website playing the games, watching the webisodes, and commercials. I think I saw a couple of them at garage sales, but I never got any of them. I think I did play with one or two when playing with older friends(relatives, neighbours). I’ve always loved them, and I’m so happy you get to have them again!

i genuinely never remembered having my scene dolls as much as i wanted them but watching this i very clearly remember having all those clothes and accessories 😭😭

I had that exact one when I was a kid! Love my scene I'm eventually getting the jammin in Jamaica dolls. I remember being so excited to get the jammin in Jamaica ones as a kid cause they came with the movie. I really want to have Madison now!

Sadly as a kid I wasn’t allowed to play with dolls but my sisters had My Scene dolls, I remember so vividly seeing them playing with the dolls and thinking they were the coolest thing ever. Sadly my mom gifted my sisters entire collection two years ago just before i started collecting soooo I never saw them again while being an adult 😭😭

I was the target audience because I was a tween in 2002 but my parents were poor so I never was able to own any My Scene dolls.

And this is something that Barbie is missing now, the articulation on the made to move dolls is great but they're articulation is an interesting if the outfit is made cheaply. Back when I was playing with these I wasn't worried about her elbows bending or her having articulation because her outfits made up tenfold for how great the doll was. That just shows that we didn't need all that movement we just wanted really nice, high quality clothes and pretty dolls.

My friends and I used to play with these (i’m 21 now), and i didn’t have any. I remember I would always play with the brown haired, darker skin tone one. I can’t remember her name. We used to love playing with these as kids 💗

My Scene are Icons. Never forget them! Actually, in Russia for a brief moment they were more populate than Bratz . Remember my first ever My Scene doll. I saw my frenemy with Hangin Out Madison and somehow on the exact same day my grandmother read my mind and randomly bought the same doll for me without even knowing that I need that doll.

This was my final Barbie 🥲 I had pretty much outgrown playing with dolls by the time this one came out, but it was so cool I couldn't resist putting it on my Christmas list lol

I imagine one reason My Scene won’t get rebooted is because the last court judgment ordered Mattel to pay $300 million to MGA. I don’t know if the rights issue ever got fully resolved, but I’m sure it’s not worth it to Mattel to open things up for what would now be a small line. It’s really too bad because I prefer My Scene to Bratz.

From what I can remember if I remember correctly, in most major cities; many clubs would have teen nights & would serve juice and soda rather than alcohol of course & you had to be between the ages 16 to 18 I believe & they would close early. Here in nyc it was a thing that very few places would actually do from what I’ve heard. I’m not 100 percent sure because I myself was young to be going out & once I was older they pretty much didn’t exist. But in other country’s like England, Ireland & Mexico have teen club’s & nights.

I love My Scenes. I had quite a few but stupidly I listened to people telling me I was to old for dolls and I got rid of them. I gave them away because I was told they weren't worth anything. 😕

My first and only (at the time) was bling bling Barbie

The first art style and logo looked kinda vintage even back in the 2000's I'm glad they changed that (the art of that box was cute tho, the art I didn't like is the one with the second logo with barbie, Madison and Chelsea at the top, it's different, it was kind of creepy for me 😅
