Some of the best missions are unplanned. In Oct. 2022, on the back of a long monsoon season and unseasonal amounts of snow, Swiss alpinists Stephan Siegrist, Jonas Schild and Andy Schnarf turn the tables opening a new line in the Garhwal Himalayas of India.
Condemned to base camp after their Shivling objective was shelved, a nearby wall caught their eye. Sprawling from the edge of the Kirti glacier and perched below the imposing south face of Shivling, with remarkable resemblance to The Nose on El Capitan, the climbers dubbed the face Kirti-Nose.
