I am mostly self taught. I had a few tips from people via the web. I have been at this for over 10 years. The Yahoo Mouthpiece Work group has a lot of good discussions and resources. I started this group just as I was getting into it.

I Been polishing for 8 years or so wirh angle grinders on stone took me a while to figure out what my hands do, when I think I’m putting even pressure. Always off a little.. a piece of stainless steel just a flat piece is slow cutting and gets it super flat

I buffed mine with just plain cotton. If you do it long enough takes a long time it’ll return original shine

I took a Yamaha 4c knocked all the high spots down and a plastic tenor same thing. Both sound wayyyyy better.

Where did you learn your trade, or have you taught yourself? And how long did it take you to gain the expertise that you have? Lovely tone by the way on the Yamaha, great job! Thanks for posting these videos.
