I loved these credits. Seeing the original pumpkin reconstitute itself was a really clever way of bringing the audience back to the original continuity.
It was at this very moment, with the original orange style text, the beautifully evil score and the original pumpkin reconstruction, that I knew Michael had come home.
Best horror film of the decade in my opinion. Many Saw films, IT, Conjuring films, Scream 4, Alien Covenant.. None of them compares to this one. This film took back it's roots.. The Shape, The Boogeyman felt more present than even in the original. He was scary and intimidating. Pure evil. Nothing the remakes, Curse and Resurrection were able do with their films. Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer and Andi Matichak all played their characters amazingly. And don't even get me started how well David was able to catch the spirit of the actual holiday itself. The mixture of the orange and blue'ish lighting, shadows, and the streets and the trees.. Thing of beauty. 🎃🎃🎃
In my opinion the best Halloween. Right there with the original. Every films has their flaws but this Halloween is just perfect. I loved it. 😍 It payed homage to the original Halloween more than any other Halloween sequel.
I love how in this movie, Michael either doesn’t draw out the death or if he does the person that tries to save the current victim still gets brutally overwhelmed and it turns into a double kill
I remember everyone cheered when the credits started playing, it was such a cool sentiment we all shared in that theater room, at seeing the orange text, listening to the og theme, watching that pumpkin transformm into the original one from 1987, watching John Carpenter's name pop up. I wish I could be there again.
Thanks for this, man. I honestly can't stress the feeling I got once the credits rolled. Great nostalgia from the original. Can't wait to see it again. 😫🎃🔪🧡
I knew it would be on here soon lmao my fav part honestly the scene leading up to it was a bit over the top though, but this intro scene was amazing. Love the original orange font, and the added fall glow, and the recreated theme is kick ass, and this was first Halloween movie I’ve ever seen In theaters... the movie isn’t perfect by any means, but it was such a phenomenal experience, and a worthy sequel to the original. I’ll be seeing it at least two more times in theaters hahaha
When I first started seeing the opening credits I was getting disappointed...then it all played out then I thought hell yessss... here come the goosebumps!🎃🔪
the new Halloween films seem to following a parten now thanks to Halloween kills been delayed. Halloween (2018) 40 years since Halloween (1978). Halloween Kills (2021) 40 years since Halloween 2 (1981). Halloween Ends (2022) 40 years since Halloween 3: season of the witch (1982). All we need now is Halloween films coming out in 2028 , 2029, 2035, 2038 and 2042
Was disappointed that they showed practically the entire pre-credit sequence in the trailer, but I did love the smash cut to the title sequence. The pumpkin inflating? I thought it was goofy. My friend said what would have been cool twist would have been to smashcut to a closeup of the candle burning, and pull back through an eye hole to reveal the pumpkin and then have the heat of the candle slowly rot and melt the pumpkin.
ALISTAIR COOKIE that wasn’t what they were going for, this is a rebirth of the franchise, the franchise has been seemingly milked dry, but now it is being reborn, with the original creator helping the rebirth, as a result the molding jackolantern is being given a breath of new life. What was previously an idea beat to death has been reinvigorated, it isn’t the conclusion to the franchise as we hear michaels heavy breathing at the end of the credits
It was just a mask he found at the store the way they made it seem like it was some mythical thing was so dumb. I was checked out in the first 5 minutes and it sucked.
