The way the soul exchange works is you can tribute summon a monster using your opponent's monsters, then since it is sent to the gy, your opponent can then also tribute using your monsters. That is why they write that the one you summoned by this effect can not be tributed that turn

@@rathpunks The original soul exchange targets, only lets you tribute one monster, and skips your battle phase for the turn. This one does not target, can tribute 2-3 monsters, and lets you still attack. The only potential downside is that if your opponent has a level 5+ monster in hand at the end of their turn, they can tribute summon it, but you probably would want to start your turn with this card anyway so they wouldn't have anything to tribute

No debate lol, people are gonna hate Fiendsmith but it's gonna get us out of tier 0, snake eyes isn't the best deck for it, it's Yubel, which currently has a slightly higher success and usage in the OCG

Spell Card “Soul Exchange” is basically recreating the anime/manga version of the card. You activate it and Tribute Summon using your opponent’s monster(s), then they get to do the same thing with your monster(s) EXCEPT the one you just Tribute Summoned. The “it cannot be Tribute Summoned this turn” is to keep your opponent from immediately tributing away the card you just summoned.

Fiendsmith is going to be a massive "general use engine" from this set. It's the top competitive cards from this set. And yes, there's 3 SCR's of them. They're going to be VERY expensive.

@@Technizor Was almost under the impression Closed Sky was short printed as I got through almost half by box before seeing one and then I end up with a playset with the second half. But yeah, she's a great enabler for the engine. Surprised she wasn't at least a Super Rare but wait for her to be a high-priced Ultimate Rare in an OTS pack sometime down the track.

Spell Card: Soul Exchange and Spell Card: Monster Reborn are supposed to mimic the anime uses of the cards. Soul exchange allows you to use more than one monster your opponent controls for a tribute summon, then your opponent can use the same effect, but they can't tribute the monster you just summoned. Monster reborn could be set then played as a quickplay during battle city, so that's where the other retrain comes from as well.

Spell Card Soul Exchange lets you tribute summon, and then that monster cannot be tributed itself afterwards that turn. So you can't do back to back tribute summons using the first monster.

Regarding the "Spell Card "Soul Exchange"". You can tribute summon a monster. The monster you summon cannot be used as tribute for further summons. Than your opponent can also use the effect of the spell card.

The new soul exchange pretty much gives you the option to tribute more than one monster of your opponents. Unlike like the original where you could only tribute one. So if you activate it one turn and they have three monsters the next turn, you could tribute three of them for an Egyptian God.
