Opening leads against notrumps in bridge 

What should you lead against Notrump contracts? Joan Butts gives us some helpful pointers we can remember.
- Just like when you’re the declarer, when you are defending against a Notrump contract, you want to develop your long suit
- Clear communication with partner is essential! Be sure you understand the common guidelines for opening leads and be consistent.
- Don’t rush to cash your winners. Playing in Notrump contracts, your sure winners are likely to stay winners. Think about entries back and forth between you and partner, and see if you can develop some more winning tricks in your longest suit.
