Thank you for showcasing yet another special day at Disneyland that I will never in my life attend in person because the park has gotten so obnoxious and overcrowded over the years that I can barely stomach it. I especially love how everyone is dressed for winter even though it’s still roughly 80° in Southern California.

I was there with my kids this day also and it was a rough time. We did enjoy ourselves, but every ride we went on broke down and it was hard to see the decorations through the mass of people. We're going back today for Dapper Day hoping it'll be better.

So nice- especially the snow after the fireworks. We’ll be there in a few days and I plan to watch fireworks from Main Street so I can see projections on the storefronts and will soak up the vibes as the snow falls afterwards.

Will be there in a week to show a family member around who has been to DL once with friends (but they didn't give her a proper introduction). May have to deal with rain part of the time, but that adds to the lighting, I think. This video has me all excited!

It is crazy to me that the parade hasn't changed! I still have pictures from when I saw it as a kid. I also remember when they first had the snow machines, I think it was after the fireworks. It was just pure magic for someone who had never seen snow fall. 33:41 I am tearing up remembering that feeling and just staying with everyone.

I am right there with you about the snow. I’ve seen it so many times over the years but every time it still makes me tear up. I tell everybody that no matter how old I get Disneyland is still such a magical place to me. Especially at Christmas time. It’s so beautiful and they make it so incredibly special even if it’s the same Disneyland, the same parade, the same fireworks, the same snow you’ve seen countless times. It’s just as special every time. Went on Sunday for the first time at this holiday season and it was so amazing. It just warmed my heart so much. My daughter and I also watched viva navidad at California adventure for the first time ever because it was starting in 10 min and you raved about it so much and said it was so great and even though she didn’t wanna watch I told her we were going to stay anyway, and she left saying it is now her favorite Christmas show or parade.

Only time I had chestnuts was at Disneyland in the early 90s. Sold where they sell popcorn to the left of Mark Twain boarding. They sold roasted chestnuts and hot cocoa. The year they did an outdoor frozen area and ice skating at the Disneyland hotel. ❤

I remember when Frozen first came out and it was playing at the AMC theater in Downtown Disney (where our family first saw it) there was an ice skating rink just outside of the Tree display. I was trying to recover from back surgery and even I was smart enough stay far, far away from the rink.

Brr, we’ve got Santa Ana winds to rival the temps in Florida. It’s well-nigh (thank you thesaurus) a toss up. Orlando almost 90 during the day and a nippy 70 at night. Brrrr. ;). At least Socal dipping into the fifties at night to be seasonal. Break out the spirit jerseys. ;)

Always great content, love Liz’s positive energy. But I’ll be honest, my family and I e were there not so long ago & it was not a good experience. They are removing so many beneficial perks all for greed. Unhappy cast members which turns into a hostile atmosphere. Honestly very disappointed 😢 But keep up the great work ❤

LMAO - Ima be "that guy": I noticed that Santa and Mrs Claus are black. Thats cool! Is there also a white Santa and Mrs Claus? Or some other ethnicity Claus'? And if so, is their rotation random for the Holiday parades occuring during a single day (e.g. in a single day you see different Santa Claus')? The original narrative didnt include a Santa that changed colors on demand, so what is the new story we tell our kids? Asking for a friend. And for trillions of other kids that are about to become hella confused. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Saint Nicholas of Bari is the original story. Bari is in present-day Turkey. The Dutch Sinterklaas is a variation, not real, story of the Turkish venerated Bishop. When modern Santa's hat is held up straight, it is a mitre, the hat Bishops wear.

You're not "that guy," as much as you're just being willfully ignorant. It would have taken you just as much time to look up the origins of Santa Claus as it did to type out this drivel. The original Santa Claus was born Anatolian in Patara (near Turkey's coast), and was black. Your kids aren't going to be confused by Santa being black unless you've instilled racial undertones into their lives. Children raised in diverse settings don't even notice this sort of thing. How embarrassing for you to out yourself under the pretense of being "that guy."

We waited over 2 and a half hours for Small World! They did give us a free lightning lane after for waiting so that was nice. They shut the line down shortly after we got there so lucky to have even gotten on!

My wife and I were there yesterday as well. Maybe just bad luck on our part, but it really was not enjoyable. Numerous rides down, extremely packed, frustrated cast members (don’t blame them). Seemed like a rough day for Disney.

Very packed! We waited almost 3 hours for Small World so they gave us a free lightning lane to use and even all the lightning lanes were packed!

I agree I’m at Disneyland this weekend and Friday was so frustrating, probably my worse day I’ve ever had at Disneyland but thankfully Saturday was much better, had a blast riding all the rides!

Not bad luck, just no way to have a regular park day on a Friday holiday which is also first day of all the holiday stuff. Been before when many events collided & it was rough for sure. Many yrs ago, & will never forget it ;) Hope you had/have more fun on the weekend if you’re still there.

@@davidantunez4147 I get what you are saying, but I feel like initially it would be crazy without reservations as people would enjoy the missed freedom, but that it would settle down after a bit. All things considered I really want to see the reservation system go, but you are correct it would be crazy initially.
