The road was one of the later, major mountain forest road-building projects undertaken by the Forest Commission Victoria (FCV). The film includes the opening ceremony, then prominent State politicians, scenery along the road’s route, and a construction camp. The film ends with a detailed viewing of a large, derelict timber tramway trestle bridge. March 1963.
