Opening ORIGINAL 1996 Pokemon Japanese Base Set Packs! 

Honestly i hear alot of people in the TCG community talk about how the Japanese vintage cards sell for less than the English 1st edition cards, the issue i have with those statments is... The Japanese cards released first! Which makes them the true first edition cards altogether. Thus pricing should actually be more than it's english counterparts.

Yo Rhyme, no rarity symbol Japanese base is like first edition, you can tell based on the pack if it has a chance of being no rarity, it will have a different zip code on their address compared to the second printing

i'm surprised the english cards are worth more than the OG japanese cards. how is that? the japanese cards came out 3yrs before the english cards, and look at that old skool pokemon logo on the japanese cards. japanese should be x100 more valuable than the english cards.
