Reminds me of how well nukes are guarded. It would be nearly physically impossible to rob unless you came packing big time with some multiple truck loads of explosives. That of course would never happen.

so how do you open a vault? is there a certain thing you do cuz I never seen numbers on a large vault door. my favorite vaults is the circle door that has a glass inside where you can see all the gears and inner workings inside.

Probably electronic locks because they are a lot harder to access than a simple key or passcode

Have you ever seen a vault door that shaped like a huge BALL?? When the door is open the opening would be ROUND or circular. Look at a FULL PORT BALL VALVE at one of the home improvement stores/ plumbing section. I wouldnt call this a vault door but an on off VALVE!! especially if it can close in 15 seconds. I used to be a gas fitter & have seen & installed boatloads of shut off valves as a part of my work.

Before the airlock door can be rotated, each wheel on either side contains two separate combination locks that protrude to the right of each wheel. When dialling the digits, the operator has to observe the number dial through a small glass window on the side. I guess you've not seen many bank vaults? 🤣

@@Zodliness this seems like a much weaker design then a typical vault. Make no mistake God and everyone will know that you are there, but still.

@@andrewyork3869 Why is it weaker? This is the exact same style vault and manufacture that they use in the NY Fed, the largest gold deposit in the US.

@@Zodliness Any idea how many digits each of those combination is? I found pictures of what is inside the glass hole, and it's two clock hand looking pointers with a "1" and 2" on the them, plus dial markings for 0-99. I always wondered what the actual process of entering the code was.

@@JamieVegas due to the cylindrical shape if you took a thermal lace to the edges you could burn through quite quickly remember you only need to beable to get through the hole so torch it top to bottom and over 24 or so inches and you are in. (Some people can get through much smaller holes.) Like I said God and everyone would know you are there, but could be done inside of 2ish hours.
