This is an awesome movie for kids. Scooby Doo was my favorite cartoon as a kid & when my nieces & nephews were born, every one of them agreed to. My most favorite cartoon episode growing up was called, "The Legend of The Gator Ghoul". Like me, me nieces & nephews all said the same thing. Who doesn't get a kick out of watching the reaction of 2 dogs who haven't seen each other since they were puppies. Plus, how can you not love their little song & dance that they do to. Every kid learned some really great life skills watching Scooby Doo: how to read people's faces/expressions, problem solving, memory skills, music, rhythms, comedy, how to have fun & be silly, dancing, & many more. All kids love Scooby Doo, & as a kid, Scooby Doo was my favorite character to. He was the last of the characters that Hanna Barbera made & created for the show & at the last minute, decided to name their show after the dog. Pretty cool. :)
I think the holiday episode of the new Scooby-Doo mysteries is similar to my Pokémon and Hamtaro version. In fact, it should have Ash, Max Pikachu, and Kana in the episode.
