I miss the good old days watching Disney movies on vhs.

Seriously, this into always gets me because it doesn't have music.. Like the movie itself is holding it's breath, unsure if it's a good idea to venture out. Just....god damn. Also,the visuals as so damn pretty!!

From 5:08 The dog howlings sound familiar to the character of Copper when he howled at something during a hunting trip with Amos and Chief which is further on in the movie.

This must be the only Disney animated feature to collab between the nine old men (Frank Thomas, Ollie Johnston, Wolfgang Reitherman) and the then-new crew members and animators (Glen Keane, Ron Clements, Don Hahn, etc.).

Funny thing that I knew about Copper: Young VA plays Mouth in The Goonies as well as Donatello in the 1990 TMNT trilogy Adult VA is Snake Plissken's actor.

Kurt Russell was the actor who voiced the main protagonist in The Thing, that movie was released a year after The Fox and the Hound was released in 1981.

Every time i saw this scene as a kid i was so scared because i imagined the bad wolf lurking in the forest with those scary sounds and noises, Anyone agrees?

I think that was the last disney film to use the old buena vista logo intil the walt disney pictures logo first appearance of the black cauldron

No previews anymore that's because there's no need for them you kids today don't know nothing y'all can just pull up stuff anytime y'all want to and just watch it but we had to sit through the previews are we had to fast-forward through them and after a while that messes the Caper and the sound quality in the visual quality looking back today it was much poorer that we didn't know that ended old days in the 90s we didn't know that we are the 90s kids

This scene was seriously not appropriate for children considering what happened to me when I first saw this scene, the fog, the scary sound, the trumpets, I seriously used to run to my parents crying like a crazy because I imagined the wild pouncing from the fog and maul me, if they were to remake this in live action for sure they would go lighter
