You may notice that later home video releases of this film are rated PG yet Disney Plus in Australia rates this film as G. PG makes more sense due to the dark themes.

Yeah definitely. I would've been a little startled if I saw this as a child. I ended up seeing it for the first time two years ago when I was 16.

logosandopenings On this release, almost an entire third of the song Hellfire is removed.

Donald’s Greatest Hits promo is actually the promo for The Three Caballeros. Also, the promo uses the 1992-1996 Walt Disney Classics logo despite being released in 1997 (by then, they had the gold banner on it). Is there a rental version of this? Also in the Disney Videos promo, the video Bedknobs and Broomsticks is Missing? Could it be possible that they planned variants for the eight movies in the 1999 Walt Disney Classics Collection batch but got scrapped? I think there was also a version of this promo for The Fox and the Hound as well.

Aaron Fulwood I kinda think they pushed the 1999 classics collection for 2000 with the purple-white covers. And I noted with the end of the tape it said “RENT” despite this being a brand new copy of the tape (with a little card saying ‘Proof of Purchase’ with the film’s title on it) and that could be used for entry for some Disney Videos subscription.

Have you heard about this streaming service called Disney +? I thin there is a rumour about the crows in Dumbo being removed. Hopefully it's just a rumour.

martinbarnes9 I have the 1999 DVD of it where it’s presented in 4:3 and PAL, I’ll be able to upload it in a couple days when I get home.
