Thank you Harry!!!! From someone else with OCD it gets dismissed by a lot of people just thinking “oh so you like everything organized and clean” meanwhile that’s not just it at all! I so appreciate you touching on this subject because I don’t feel so alone ❤️

Wow shug🙏🏻❣️. Here's a big'ole THANK YOU from another OCD/Anxiety/Bi-Polar person who thought she must be the only one to exist. And yer right hun, "friends" just say, "well just get over it", or "dont think that way". I get more frustrated cause i feel like a failure cause i wanna, but i just cant. Thank you for letting me know that the couple that looks like the happiest one in da world, still go thru stuff just as we all do. Thank you Harry for your courage and your support wantin to be there for us too, cause i know without a doubt you have put a smile on my face, and a hand on my heart 🙏🏻❣️.

Hi Harry, I had severe and I mean SEVERE OCD for 22 years, it was so bad that something that would take somebody 5 minutes would take me over 3 hours (repetitive) i also developed OCD around food, eating times, rules, etc. I didn't have anorexia but I was anorexic, at 36kg i ended up hospitalised. It has been a few years now, and I am pretty much OCD free, I can say the things that help more than anything are 1 your food (thr gut is the second brain) 2 meditation and breathwork 3 yoga and movement 4 journalling. The power of meditation is incredible it is so so so powerful. Journalling is me letting my head talk, all those crazy thoughts that are so loud and controlling, spill them out, daily, let them leave your head and go to the page. Also something that can be a great start is ACT, acceptance commitment therapy, all these other OCD therapys did nothing for me, but that truly worked for me. The OCD & Anxiety podcast episode 41, listen to this on Spotify, this one episode did more for me than any single therapy or advice I'd encountered before

the bits about people saying 'just don't worry about it' and 'i sometimes do that too'...i really felt that although those comments are made with the intent of being reassuring and empathetic, they feel so dismissive and it can be incredibly isolating feeling like you're not understood even by those closest to you thank you harry for sharing this❤️ as someone with ADHD who has battled with intrusive thoughts and depression for a long long time, its so comforting to hear about other people's mental health journies very glad you have people who love and understand and support you. sending lots of love

I too have had that watershed moment when I realized that I needed therapy to cope with my anxiety. I was put in foster care as a toddler. I was in several foster homes including my adoptive parents. I developed anxiety about being abandoned and loved. This was 40+ years ago when no one thought that a young child would have anxiety. I lived in fear that if I wasn't good that I would be tossed aside again. My fear would cause me to become manic about the littlest things. It wasn't until about 5 years ago when my manic episode almost cause myself and my friends physical harm that I had the watershed moment that I needed help. Through my therapy, we found that I had fewer manic episodes if I was helping others. It made me feel needed. I now only see my therapist a few times a year, but her phone number is on speed dial if needed. People feel comfortable enough with me to openly speak about their problems. I listen and really hear what they are saying. Then I calmly help them figure out some options for their problems. So please, please keep making these videos. Everyone needs to know that they are not alone and or crazy.

For the past 2 years I've struggled with something in my head similar to OCD. I never talked to my family or parents about it because they wouldn't believe they'll think I'm making it up but the truth is I'm not. I try to think positively and try to forget but sometimes it just gets to me and I can't get over it. They'll be these times where I just think about it and think and think and think and sometimes I can't fall asleep because of it and my brain thinks something bad will happen. It's because when I was a child I had a lot of stress my parents separated and I couldn't understand or cope with it. I never actually spoken to anyone about this because people would think I'm insane or crazy but I've realised now I'm not alone and there are multiple people going through something mentally that just makes you feel not yourself. And whatever you are going through you'll eventually get through it.❤️

I don’t have ocd but I was diagnosed with social & generalised anxiety, depression and autism and I always get negative thoughts and feel on edge a lot of the time and my family say don’t worry about it but it can be hard not too. You mentioned your dad thought you had Tourette’s syndrome. Having anxiety can make you have physical symptoms like for my self when I’m anxious it can make me sick and I feel like my body aches and I feel like I’m shaking
@JessandJenn-q9q

THIS!! This is EXACTLY what I have had and the EXACT same things you do & the exact same thoughts. If I don’t touch something with the exact finger, on the edge of, I don’t know, something random, anything and it feel “right” I have to go back and do it, that’s one example. When I go down the stairs I have to tap my other foot inbetween steps which has caused me to fall. I’ve broken my big toe because of my OCD😂. I laugh but it’s not funny, it can change the “ticks” and sometimes it’s going in and out of my house until it feels “right” or my Mum will die(usually there is specifics) if my fiancé… etc. And I’ve missed job interviews for promotions, I’m constantly late but no one understands, it gets worse with things like rushing around to be on time, interviews, when I first started dating my fiancé, so that everything would be okay, or things would keep going well…. It FEELS like I’m so stupid sometimes and I want rid of it too. But my Mum suggested at the age of now 32 to get help❤ and I’m going to start counselling❤️

I've never seen something so relatable I have emetephobia ( fear of being sick ) ocd and just general health anxiety and this has led to me missing most days of school last year and up until August when I started theraapy I was having to deal with my thoughts all by myself b for about 9 years nearly but 1 year since its been really bad anyway everything u were describing just felt like something I could really relate to when I get anxious i chew clothes I flap my hands around and on really bad days I struggle to get out of bed. every night I have to repeat the same words otherwise my brain tells me something bad will happen someday I think is this ever actually gonna get better but I know it will 💗 also well done for how far you've come it really shows people struggling like me that it will get better it just takes time this video really helped me ❤

i believe in signs and i think i was meant to see this video. i caught a glimpse of 'OCD' in the title and immediately clicked, im not even subscribed and i've only seen 2 or three of y'alls Shorts before. I've been struggling a lot with my OCD the past 3+ years, and i've only recently started therapy that will hopefully help me get diagnosed/start recovering. i've felt so alone and gaslighting myself because i blamed myself for my struggle, but i know it's not my fault and videos like this one help me realise that i'm not alone and that there's hope to get better :)

Things do get better ,and after a lot of Time ,I feel happy again. It is because of people like you both who believe in others to be themselves and to embrace who they are that this is possible. Hey Harry, Just know that you are not alone in this and it's nothing to be embarrassed about because I think a lot of people nowadays are. And if you can't seem to figure something out then just give yourself some time and don't be hard on yourself. It's not always a bad thing. Just remember that these things do no define you and they never will. Please give my love to Rosie. And I love watching your videos. 😊 Love, From India.

I’m 24 now and I still have this OCD that I’ve had since a young kid. I don’t know if anyone else has it.. but I “breathe people in” and put good people under my right armpit and the bad people under my left armpit and when I feel as though I’m getting heavy I need to breath all the bad people back in from my left armpit and delete them all… Breathe them back out into the air. The more I do this the more I feel as though my mum and my family is safe. That’s just one of the OCD’s I have…. I remember watching a documentary when I was younger and it made me feel so relieved to see others going through these things…. I’ve always wondered where has it stemmed from… how can a young child even fathom something out like this? X

Thank you for opening up and trying to help people by sharing your experience. I have BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) and anxiety is a huge part of it. It's really disabling, ordinary stuff seems almost impossible to do (even get out of bed, take a shower, let alone have a job or study). My therapist also told me "You can't get rid of it, you will always have BPD, so you'll have to learn how to manage it" Tbh, that was the worst part. To know I will always have to keep fighting to have a normal life. I hope everything gets better with time. Sending lots of love and support to people who struggle with mental health. 😊 🫶

I may not have the same as you,but I understand you and how hard it is every day to try be positive/happy and to try feel so what normal again but honestly your so right there always light at the end of the tunnel For me who suffer with anxiety/panic disorders and depression But trying to explain to family and friends how I feel, why I’m just so confused with it all why im feeling down and panicky without actually knowing why they just didn’t understand and didn’t seem to want to know. Which made it harder for me to feel normal and happy but after getting professional help from my therapist she helped me feel me again, helped me understand my mental health/feeling emotions which now I don’t feel like a burden to anyone anymore and I’ve seen how far I’ve come

I suffer from mental health everyday because of everything I have gone through and everything I still do go through I suffer from depression and anxiety basically everyday and Rosie and Harry you guys make my days brighter I always look forward to when you guys post love u guys so much 💜🩷💕💓💗💖 I have suffered from anxiety and depression basically my whole life and I feel so alone like i'm on my own and like I have to bottle up my feelings because of the way I'm treated and many other reasons why I bottle up my feelings.

Would you say that you set multiple alarms because you can’t trust yourself to get up after one? I not only do this, but I keep turning my phone on and off silent many times until I’m satisfied that it’s off. I have a problem

I don't usually comment on videos but I had to on this one. This video has been the most helpful video ever I always thought it was just me and that I was alone in this but hearing you describe your OCD was like hearing my own story I thought I was going mad but now I get it people always told me same yeh I do that your just overreacting but now I know I'm not I am different and unique but that is what makes me me I'm so happy to have cleared that out you guys are the best and my favourite youtubers on the planet I love you so much. xxxxx Thank you!!!!!!
