Glad you enjoyed your trip to Knott's Scary Farm. I've been going at least one time each year since 1988, with the exception of two years post-pandemic. This was my first year back. So with that experience in mind, I have some tips for your next trip: Always try to go early in the run, with the best days being weekdays. Fridays and Saturdays, even early, are usually very crowded. The closer you get to Halloween, the more crowded it gets (and the more expensive). This is probably obvious but you should make a note of the mazes you definitely want to see again the following year, avoid or give lower priority to those that you thought were just ok. Prioritize the new mazes and the ones that you consider are "must return" mazes. This year was the last year for "The Depths" and "Dark Entities", so there will be replacement mazes for at least those two mazes in 2024. Avoid Johnny Rockets. Your time is limited at Scary Farm. From the reviews on Yelp (and my own personal experience), service is extremely slow. You'll waste a lot of time if you eat there. You can find food at other areas in the park and generally get your food quicker. My favorite is the Firemen's Brigade BBQ in Ghost Town. You not only get good food, but you also get to watch other people getting scared by monsters. Plus, you are in close proximity to several mazes and a show at the Bird Cage Theater. Avoid the regular rides. You can go on those any time of the year if you live in Southern California. Stick with the ones that are Halloween themed, like the Calico Mine Train or Timber Mountain Log Ride. And of course the mazes and scare zones. One thing I should point out is that they don't always change the Calico Mine Train or the Log Ride for Scary Farm, so check with someone that works there before getting in line. You already know the most important thing - have fun!
