In this OpenTX video I show you how to setup aileron differential this is where the down going aileron movement is less in proportion to the up going aileron which causes less drag. There is one proviso you will need to have a servo actuating each aileron.
Thanks for watching.
Happy Flying.

Very good! Helped me a lot.

I just offset the aileron servo arms one tooth toward the leading edge of the wing and lengthen the pushrods so that the ailerons are centered. Or, you can move the aileron control horns back from the hinge line a little and that will also create differential throw. Creating differential by altering the linkage geometry eliminates the need to use two channels and doesn't decrease the throw of the servos in the downward direction which decreases the resolution of the system.

Hi Bill, Thanks for your reply. I have figured out how to do it now using flight modes.

Hi Bill- I always enjoy your videos and am a subscriber. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with the way you are doing this, there is an easier way. Simply open each aileron mix for editing, set the Weight to 100%, select "Diff" for the curve and set your desired differential in the field next to "Diff". Done. No need for an additional mix line.

Thanks for subscribing and thank you for you feed back will use your method in a video and credit you with the method of setting up aileron diff.

@@the-happy-RC-flyer No credit needed to me. I learned this from RCVideoReviews

@@the-happy-RC-flyer It just occurred to me that there is an advantage to doing it the way you did. Using a GV to set the DIFF weight opens up other possibilities such as adjusting the DIFF with a knob.

@@NorthGaSawyer yes GV’s make it easy to adjust the value quickly at the flying field when first setting up aileron differential. OpenTX does allow different methods of coming up with the same result.

Hi Bill, can you show me how to setup aileron differential, flaperon, using flight mode and GV. My goal is to use flight mode (single switch) to control flaperon and aileron differential with delay on both movements.

Hi Michael, I can help you with this but aileron differential is a proportion movement so you cannot delay it but we can link it with flaperons to modes and the mode switch. Mode 3 position switch position forward Normal no flaps or differential. Position middle aileron differential and position back just flaperon or flaperon and aileron differential. Please let me know the switch configuration and I will help you with it.

Hi Bill! Maybe a stupid question, but does ADi work also on flying wings?
