Goosebumps is not enough to describe what Maggie went through Edit: during her adventures in the BASSment of these Half-Dwarves of the Gravel clan. She experienced at least Misty Mountains, cold shivers, dEEp DUNGEONS in the FLOOR Gee ONE, a few earthquakes, facemelts, juicy berries and certainly many cheesemuffins. Some of them maybe even holy.

I seriously have not heard a bad Geoff solo song, ever......He has such a rich voice for a bass singer and great range. I've never heard his equal........ Thx very much Maggie, great reaction :).

First G1 was Subharmonic and the second G1 was in chest. Some people struggle producing a clean chest low note, but his chest notes are so strong that they beat subharmonics. But yeah he can subharmonic way lower than anyone else. 😜 And the last note is a growl, a nod to the last note from Tim in Tim Foust and Peter Hollens version of this song

I love how Geoff made each 'Geoff' a very distinct personality. It's not everyone who can be their own quartet.

All three G1's hit were done with a different technique. First was a subharmonic, second was a full chest (super beefy), and third was a growl paying a bit of homage to Tim Faust's version.

Also worth noting that that last G1 was a 'Dragon Breath", which is no doubt a nod to both Tim Faust *and* Smaug

Halo Theme dropped just now, and Geoff does a B0 subharmonic. Twice. I have to comment on you singing along.... I like it. I usually HATE it when reactors do that, typically because the reactor is dominating instead of singing "with." Your voice is lovely and you aren't trying to overpower the performance, so it really works.

I've watched this a few times before and never noticed that drone he's singing as the alternate Geoffs are sitting down until now. I swear, given the range he's developed with his voice, it's like he looked at a grand piano and said, "no, this will not do."

In Halo, the latest from VoicePlay, Geoff achieves his lowest note ever a B0, as a subharmonic. He said it took him some time to achieve it. Also do check out their Hoist The Colours. It's epic. And fasten your seatbelt before playing it.

This version is a little too “pop”py for my taste, but I cannot get over how easily he hits those low notes. A G1 will give me chills every time.

Low Bass Singer are shocking and so amazing with their low bass sing. They voices are so clear and you can hear both words, coming out of them and their tone is right key for them.

Excellent video I mean the production, the costumes, and of course the vocals. What an excellent low range the rhythm and tone of this it's got a nice natural flow. The misty mountain peaks are quite a sight.

I love you facial expressions when you listen to the music, they hold so much childlike wonder.

So, in the phrase "The shadows LAY" it's a very rich Chest G1, and the last G1 it's another chest G1 with so much air... And the other are Subharmonics G1's. Geoff has a HUGE range, his lowest note in chest it's a F1, B0 in subharmonics.

The best part is how well he elucidates his words as well as finding his notes sharp and clear.

His G1s sound different depending if it's in full chest, fry being added, or in subharmonics. He's been extended his low chest, so to cite TheCharasmaticVoice, the first was full chest and last was subharmonic. That would be why you may be catching a hint of G0.

this song got me with the very first tone coming out of Geoffs mouth. Sometimes Geoff sounds badass inhuman low ;) In 16 tonns his voice is maybe not that good but the video is much better. (only my opinion)

Geoff's Gregorian chant would make an awesome ring tone... but the pinnacle would be listening to this in an IMAX theater with Dolby ATMOS...

As usual, a beautifully enthusiastic reaction, Maggie. I think Geoff's range is at least 3 1/2 octaves. Unless you count his subharmonic singing, which probably adds another octave. I often wonder if being in the same room as Geoff while he's singing would be anything like being in a cathedral that has a 64' diapason set on its organ - sound so low that you feel it more than hear it.

Great reaction! This might be one of my favourite things he's done. It's got some tough competition with his other beautiful covers, but I'm a Tolkien nerd at heart and he just did such an incredible job. I actually teared up the first time I heard it - something about those low bass hums and the strings just got to me. So good!!

Geoff's voice gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. And I'm a bass singer myself. I would kill for that kind of control.

The three separate G1s (he also hit one in the beginning so four) are all sang with different techniques (subharmonic, subharmonic, chest, vocal fry/growl) and then different applied production to make it contrast

This is the first song I heard from Geoff, I subbed before the first chorus

Geoff sung this like a Dwarf, deep as the earth and soothing as a summer breeze.

Seriously, you should check out Voice Play's recent 'Hoist the Colors' (from Pirates of the Caribbean). Geoff did the arrangement, and it is outstanding - truly EPIC. Every singer is used to the utmost of their capabilities. Eli's tenor is given a crazy workout, new member Cesar de la Rosa reveals some impressive power, and of course, Geoff kills the bass.

Curious for more examination. I've heard a few other comments mentioning that the last note may actually be a G0, with the harmonic octave above coming through as "primary". Either way...this man is a BEAST. And so are you! Keep doing you darlin'!

I would not want to sing nor speak in your B-E-A-U-TIFUL presence (too intimidated on how you would listen to my voice) but you would do great with either just Geoff or with VoicePlay

Sometimes he uses his true voice on the low notes, and sometimes he uses subharmonics. But he's also been actively working to extend and round out his range so that his lowest and highest notes have more fullness. He's so impressive.

Ok. Been playin drums since I was 7. The simplicity of the percussion really accents the vocals, while at the same time gives such a good groove and feel to the song! UGH!! We won't even get into his low notes(cuz wow!). All in all. Great harmony. Great (for lack of a better term) soul!. Love it

Fun Fact: Geoff is actually just 4 smaller Geoff's in a trench coat.
