There was one wasted take before the one in which Dio nailed it - when he arrived for the recording session, he brought his own microphone, but the techs insisted on theirs, which his voice promptly blew up. Yeah, that happens, it's why I bring my own, he said, plugged his microphone, and recorded a perfect take. No song with Jack Black, Meatloaf and Dio in it can be anything but awesome, and apparently, Jack had mentioned in a talk show that he would like Meatloaf to play his father if a film of his life were ever made. Meatloaf's daughters heard the show and nagged him into taking the part, which (of course) he nailed completely.

Our boy really went to every other Hollywood after Dio told him "the City of Fallen Angels." Could have been so much simpler. They also have a "CLEAN Version" of the film soundtrack which is just as hysterical because it replaces all of the dirty words with regular words and It becomes totally absurd nonsense.

I mean, look. I disagree with most of what the dad (meatloaf) was singing. But I don't think it's that much of an issue. But what REALLY triggered me was "Why were you ever born? Your brother's ten times better than you, jesus loves him more" THAT is where you jump the line.

I just don't comment on all of them... but one thing about the old rockers most of us didn't have any clue half the time what they were saying and if we did... it never made much sense, we just loved the beat and the electronic guitars... 🤪🤪🤪

Maggie, I just heard a new to me Freddie Mercury solo called "Time Waits for No One". He sung it in 1984 but it was released in 2019 by Dave Clark the person who wrote the musical and wanted Mercury to be in it. He refused but did do a solo at Clark's request. This song is poignant, timely and gorgeous as well as words we all need to hear in these times. Would love to hear your opinion.

You definately need to check out Rainbows Stargazer with Dio. You wont regret it. He is considered by many as the greatest metal vocalist of all time. Just so much passion, emotion, power and storytelling ability.

If you enjoyed Tribute, you have to see the climax to Pick of Destiny, "Beelzeboss". And when it comes to Dio, holy shit...there is such a big list of songs to choose from! You really can not go wrong with Ronnie. We lost a genuine talent when he passed. Total legend!!!! With Rainbow: Stargazer Kill the King Temple of the King Catch the Rainbow Gates of Babylon With Black Sabbath...just, everything but in particular: Heaven and Hell Die Young The Sign of the Southern Cross The Mob Rules Computer God I And of course his solo stuff: Holy Diver Dont talk to Strangers Rainbow in the Dark Last in Line We Rock Sacred Heart Dream Evil

You made a claim that you know her personal beliefs and implied that she was indoctrinated in an environment that believes sex and language are inherently bad. I provided a direct quote from her that implies the reluctance to say bad words on the channel is because, for the most part, she wants the channel to be family friendly. No, she doesn't show outrage. Or anger. She doesn't say the words are themselves bad. She doesn't tell viewers not to say them. She doesn't censor the words in the song. She smiles and enjoys it. Should go back and edit the other response with a /s? I felt calling the quote hard-line when it obviously wasn't wild have been enough.

So the Hollywood thing where he goes to EVERY Hollywood, is a reference/jock to Dio and how his lyrics were sometimes very cryptic. This is the opening to the movie, do yourself a favor and watch it.
