Opera singers can appreciate Dimash even more than others. Welcome to the Dimash world. As you mentioned the Dive Dance, I recommend the version from his Bastau concert, not the performance from this show! However, Dimash does not sing the original version, but a slightly modified one. The original score does have unsingable parts such as octave or even ninth jumps within a coloratura. He sings it a semitone lower than the original, which is still immensely high for a man. He is from Qazaqstan, he was only 22 here and had never been away from home by himself. What u should do is watch all of The Singer competition till the end to see what he could do at that age. Then go to his Bastau concert, still only 23 before moving forward, or u will miss a lot. He is now 29, 30 in May and his voice is soooooo powerful now, even better than this. So, if you jump ahead too much you will not see how he progressed. He trains constantly. He is also the most humble, genuine and generous person. This was 2017 and he was only 23 years old. This singing contest introduced him to the world. He is now about turn 30 and has done countless concerts and videos. 6-7 octave range, opera training, classic training from a very young age. Speaks several languages and has sung in about a dozen. Dimash just had a duet with Placido Domingo. They were both a jury of Virtuoso talent show and the Maestro suggest to have a duet with him. He sings in 15 languages but only speaks Kazakh, Russian, English and a little chinese. His concert reportoire are sung in Kazakh, English, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Italian, French, spanish. He said that it is 1% talent 99% hard work. He practice everyday for 3 hours and still works with a voice coach. In this show he was 22, he will be 30 now in May. That’s not counting that his concerts are about 3 hours long. He sings in 13 languages but he only speaks Kazakh, English, Russian and Chinese. He is from Kazakhstan.

One of the things I love about this particular performance is the reactions of the other singers off stage as this is their first time hearing him and knowing that they have to perform after him. Note that they are all seasoned, well known, performers in China.

There are certain parts of any reactor's first review of Dimash - especially this clip - and they'r along the line of... They think they're ready - and then realise they're not. That he has a very nice tone - and that's followed by That's a high note for a man - then they realise that's actually the bottom of his upper range, then That's a low note - Then stunned silence...

This was not yet his whistle register. He goes even higher with a strong, relaxed vibrato. You'll know when it's whistle. You'll hear it at some point of you listen to more.

That was 2017 but now 2024 his ''lower note'' is much even better 😁

You would appreciate Ave Maria. No words, just beautiful sounds!!! He has done some concerts now and keeps getting better. There are too many songs to name that you would enjoy. His range is at least six octaves. He is amazing as you can see and hear. He also writes and has a composer who writes for him too. He is the best singer in the world as far as I can see.

You haven't heard his whistle register yet. This is still his head voice, not even falsetto for him. He does have a whistle register reaching a D8. He trains everyday vocally, and since this performance his range has increased. He does three different version of the Diva Dance. The first on is later on this show, the next is at his concert in his home town shortly after this. He then does it on a Chinese show. They are all different. He will not disappoint in whatever song you listen to.

Yes, Dimash sings the Diva Dance BETTER than the mixed opera singer/computer enhanced version of it in the movie Fifth Element and he does it all with his OWN VOICE ..GREATEST SINGER IN THE WORLD!!! 💯💯💯

Oh you've barely scratched the surface of his capability. What I love most about him is not his vocal range (although I'm a sucker for his rich, deep, full low range) it's his genre defying catalogue. Just when you think you've heard everything, he'll switch genres with the next song or even combine two or three genres within one song. Btw he's Kazakh, not Turkish and speaks 3 languages fairly fluently but has sung in at least 15 languages at the last count. His recent duet with Placido Domingo was pretty epic too.
