Callsign: Knight 1-2, Loadout 6-0-2(+) x2 XT
Several months now into the Syria campaign, Knight 1 launches from the CVN-71 to head out to Cap ALPHA, NE of Cyprus, one of 3 Tomcat Cap stations meant to protect the anti-ship and DEAD packages operating over and near the island. Right after launch we get D/L and a call from AWACS for several hostiles high and fast in echelon, cutting us off from our ingress route and rapidly approaching LAR. We utilize depth in a grinder as a tactic for this bandit presentation, interesting engagement!
