I have a list of themes that I am working on each year...but sometimes a theme pops up that I have no plan for! Watch how this one came together! God sometimes has plans for us...we should listen and follow those nudges. Pack a joyful shoebox today and bless a child's heart with the love of Jesus!

I just heard from an 11 year old over Facebook messenger who received 1 of my Unicorn themed boxes this year. She loves unicorns. Had a unicorn themed birthday party this year and said she was very happy with her gift. God knew exactly who my box was for! He is so good!!!

Denise, sometimes I wake up at 5am and God gives me an idea and I get up and start looking around my shoe box room and before I know it I have a fully packed box ! I get so emotional, because I know it was orchestrated by God. Sometimes it is one theme or maybe twos themes tied together, or sometimes just certain colors come together. My daughter has brought me some of these afro unicorn items, but I did not know the story. I love the addition of the dolls. Great boxes !

Oh Judy… I do the same thing. Sometimes it just hits me out of the blue! I KNOW God guides us for sure. I love organizing colors too. I honestly could pack non- stop if I had the time! It’s all a beautiful thing! 🤗

I believe some of us are guided by the Holy Spirit. Many times I have asked to my husband stop at some store didn't intend to go to and I found some great sales of items for $1 or even less. God Bless all of us packers.

I believe that too! When I hear a little whisper to stop somewhere, I try to listen. I can’t tell you how many times that has turned out to benefit the kids with great items! God is guiding all of us!

Love the boxes Denise. Your drawings are great. God is Good for sure. Question for you: when you shop do you bring a list of your themed 2 gallon bags? The wow gift too or if you need one? And do you ever duplicate items by accident? Wouldn’t be a waste if it’s done just wondering as I have enough duplicates to build an ark. I love doing themed boxes too. But I’m trying to find a better system for shopping. Thanks. 😊

Thank you so much! Well I sometimes buy duplicates too.🤦🏻‍♀️But what I do is take inventory in January each year. I make a list or spreadsheet of what I need for each planned theme. I take pictures and keep in on my phone in my occ folder. It helps quite a bit but I have still accidentally bought a second coloring book for example. When I can return it I do and when I can’t, I donate it as filler. Hope that helps and makes sense.🥰

Fast or slow, love how these came together, Denise. The unicorn Sparkle dolls couldn’t have been more perfect inclusions. The socks with the fringe! OMG, what a scream! I foresee a huge smile coming out of those. Love the T-shirt with unicorns in 3 shades of beautiful browns. Stickers too? Wow, you truly were presented with the makings of a couple of wonderful Afro unicorn boxes for two lucky young ladies. 🦄🤎🦄🤎🦄

Thanks Trish! Well you know how it goes when God presents so many themed items all at once. A box is born! And I’ve had those sparkle dolls for quite awhile so when I found them in my stash I was so excited. That’s always fun to find things you have and forgot about. These were fun and easy to create with so many lucky Afro-unicorn finds! TFW friend! 🦄🤎🩵💜

Oh the lids! Especially on the second box- so beautiful! These are very pretty boxes and these girls are going to be so excited to find all these beautiful unicorns inside. I don’t remember those unicorns at McDonalds very cute 🥰 oh the Hairmazing dolls are so perfect. The child who receives the first box is going to love those socks. She will feel so special to have something so unique. Wow, you even found a shirt on clearance with the Afro Unicorns. And the LGB! Your box came together so nicely. Thanks so much for sharing. 🤣🤣oh my goodness those socks!! I love the fringe!! Beautiful box you put together and everything matches so well. It’s amazing how items just keep popping up and you know you’re being called to get it together. To me, those are the boxes that go to a child who may need a little extra something in the life. lol… those socks were waiting for the right boxes. I think I’ve had them for 2 packing seasons! Funny how it all comes together. God gave me the nudge and I just followed along. 😂 I hope they find the perfect little girls to grow in God’s love.

Super box as usual. I agree that when suddenly similar items keep popping up all over the place, I take that as God's prompting for a theme. That happened to me with Star Wars stuff. I have loved how pretty this Afro Unicorn stuff is since I first saw it. I didn't know the story. Cool info. Good for HER. A lovely merchandise line. :) :) :)

That happened to me also with Mandalorian items! I kept finding them everywhere and I’m not a huge Star Wars person! But when nudged, I follow! I didn’t know the story of the Afro unicorn either… it is even more lovely knowing the story.

I had the same thought. I had depleted my unicorn stash and then kept seeing the brown ones. Just the other day I picked up 2 coloring books because I foresee a box or 2. You've found a lot more items than I have though. Yours turned out beautifully! I love the brown/turquoise combo, always have. The added purple is a perfect pop of more color. 🤎🩵💜🩵🤎

Right? I even saw beautiful stuffies at CVS but refrained due to price. This image is everywhere! I love the colors too! They just pop and I smiled when seeing it all laid out. You know when you start seeing a lot of one character or theme… it’s time to pack! 😂🤎🩵💜

Denise, as much as I shop Walmart and scan for hidden clearance, I’ve never once seen any of these items on sale. You were definitely meant to pack this themed shoebox for two very special young ladies. These were God ordained. Praise His name above all. 🙌🏻

Most of the items from Walmart were oddly enough found hanging on strips in the toy department. (Except the shirts of course) Even the lip balm! So interesting! So I took on the nudge! And you know how it goes when led to pack. 🥰

Many, I have never seen! The socks and dolls are perfect for the boxes! The young lady who receives the first box will feel so special to have such unique and fun items such as the socks. Wow! I did find so many Afro unicorn items but I definitely wasn’t even looking! If I WAS looking I probably wouldn’t have found them. Isn’t that always the case? I was definitely led. Hope these little girls enjoy them!

I am always filled with awe and wonder, as I watch unboxing videos, knowing that God already has the plan for the shoeboxes. He knows right now exactly which two little girls are going to receive these special boxes. He knew the whole time you were collecting, preparing, and packing the boxes! Isn't that amazing to ponder? God Bless You, Denise, for packing these boxes, and God Bless the two little girls who will receive them. May they learn about the love of Christ and accept Him at a young age.
