Good to know about the Mickey ears being so recognized. I love all the bright red like on the truck, washcloth, pencil pouch, and beach ball. That truck is so so cute and goes really well with a Mickey box. I love those little bell chimes...how much fun will those be for the boys! Sixty cents is just amazing for the wow item! I love that you included the little books inside the big playbook. And what a beautiful red shirt. My favorites have to be the beautiful red carried throughout the box, along with the Mickey plush and chime shaker. That is so fun to know the facts about Mickey! I wonder if Minnie is widely recognizable worldwide too? I mean she resembles Mickey in female form, so maybe so 🥰. These are very cute boxes! That is so cool that you were still packing over your holiday break and will be taking them to PC. You found a really great deal on those Mickey stuffies. Love them. They are perfect size for shoeboxes. I will be driving 4 to 5 hours on Sunday to volunteer on Monday at PC in Aurora, IL. Cant’t wait. My first time ☺️. Just one shift for me as it is difficult to be away from my cats for too long lol. Trish will be there too at same time!

I just learned that 16 regular shoes boxes can fit in the OCC carton. How many of those IKEA boxes can they fit into one carton? OCC people said bigger boxes throws the numbers off in the carton. The village people are expecting to get 16 in each carton where the boxes goes to. I just came from Atlanta processing center.
From what I understand, they are counted before going to the distribution locations. I've volunteered now 4 times at the processing center this season, the boxes I processed - half were regular shoeboxes (a lot bigger than IKEA boxes) and half regular OCC shoeboxes. OCC policy said they accept any size shoebox. So unless OCC changes they shoebox size policy, any size shoebox is accepted.
