Operation: Trebuchet Operation Citadel This year for Halloween the 506th is dressed up as UNSC Troopers. Insurgent forces have captured an ONI site, and it is our job to go and take it back. I am leading the operation. Get Operation Trebuchet for ArmA 3 here: pay.reddit.com/r/OperationTrebuchet/ Interested in a Jester814 Tshirt or Hoodie?: teespring.com/jester814-tshirts-and-hoodies
That's why I said 'the ai in the xbox halo games', referring to the ai for the marines in the standalone halo games made by Bungie and 343 Studios, not the gameplay in the video itself.
This is extremely cool. I wish there was a single player version of it. Wonder what it would be like to be in an mp like this. Also Halo soldiers have to be my favorite sci fi soldier. Especially ODSTs.
This is SO sick. Halo was one of my favorite games as a kid growing up, and for the story line it still is. Arma3 is one of my favorite PC games, and the two together is just fucking DOPE haha. Nice work fella.
Hey guys, thanks for watching the video. Question if you're watching this: It's gotten an upsurge in views over the past week. Where are you getting it linked from?
The communication, the co-operation, the badass theme... it's all so brilliant! I would love a PC or laptop that could run this game on high or ultra. At the moment, I have a Lenovo laptop which runs it on medium-low, but that's good enough, I suppose, considering my lack of time on the laptop
This is TECHNICALLY during the insurgency, where the marines were fighting rebels. Although I agree, marines vs covenant would be cool, however the players would have to be Spartans on one team because they are the only counter to the covenant.
Alpha's Channel Well yeah, but it takes a good couple of marines to take down one elite. For the game to be balanced it would have to be Spartans VS Elites.
Alpha's Channel Just two modes, Marines vs Rebels, and Spartans vs Elites. 2nd one would be more up close and intense because of energy shields and what not.
It also uses a direct gas impinged rotating ramp system of feeding the rounds (imagine an FN P90 bolt carrier system with a Eugene Stoner gas system) which would probably create very little felt recoil for the user. The rounds are also small, so there probably won't be much recoil coming from Newton's third law either, but that can be debatable within Halo, as the battle rifle uses non-standard powder to get more punch out of a small case. I'm assuming based on the case length of 23mm that the design of the cartridge takes advantage of the ability for caseless bullets to sit within a shell made up of solid propellant rather than sitting on top of a solid fuel cylinder. This could also mean that the bullet itself could have up to a length of about 20mm which would explain the effectiveness against big-ass aliens while still keeping recoil pretty low. They must have found a good way to manage heat too, since caseless ammo, no ejection port, and direct gas impingement all scream hot bolt group. tl;dr The SMG is weird. Cool, but weird.
I wish there was a way I could do this casually, cause it looks fun as hell. With school and all I just don't have the time to devote to this type of thing.
dude if 343 made a halo like this with at least one squad of Spartans per team and the only people allowed in a spartan squad would have to be a high level but it only allows 5 Spartans so it's like first come first serve type thing that would be cool
omg I love your video. Your awesome, I haven't really had a opportunity to play Halo or Arma but I assume this is very special combination of the two. I do like your into with the graphics and title and meeting up with everyone, that was very cool. What is the name of the video editor that you use?
You should do zombies next get a good sized group and travel to a city to evacuat civilians from the zombie horde and use all the support you can get to make big explosions love to see this guy go against the full strength of the zombie horde
It could be a corpsman but in halo medics tend to not where white, in fact the only white bdu's I've seen is used by to gentlemen with a sweet Jig guarding crates.
I don't think anybody wore white BDU in halo. Just ship mates aboard frigates. Not sure why they made the medic have "Hey! I'm a corpsman! Shoot me" BDU's.
iGame360fficial Well, i think they are Semi Canon with White uniforms, otherwise i know them myself with only the Helmet emblems, but i have seen Depictions of White Medical Armor, which i dont want to Call bullshit on without further research, so lets go with the Terminology of "Simply more Badass." Feel free to tell me if you disagree with that Conclusion.
I`m newbie to ARMA, but I love HALO so much! This video made me think about purchasing Arma. Could you please tell if its a mod, turning it into HALO, or just one mission?
It's a mod. You make the missions. ArmA has a mission editor and many, many maps to make missions or mission templates on. I have a mission template tutorial here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kynF_6kRGMg.html
i wish i could play games like these, but 1) i dont have friends to play with, and 2) im an idiot and if i tried to do something like this i would just fuck up everything
I've gotten most of the halo games. Yet, I'm realizing a detail that's missing. It's the design of the guns, the other people are using? It's a MA5B or a different model, yet, why haven't you downloaded some up-to-date Halo mods? Also I've got another Operations for you since Operation Citadel was a success, Spartan / Marine. Operation Red Flag. Operation Red Flag requires these Spartan-II's, Marines, Spartan-III's. Spartan-IV's optional. You'll need the Spartan-II's to infiltrate a CAS (Class Assault Ship) of the Covenant and have a San' Shyuum (A Prophet) for interrogation or for taken hostage. Operation Red Flag is divided into 4 phases. I've "Terribly" described I and II in your opinion, (So You'll need to check out Halo fan stuff.) Operation Red Flag is really about the fall of Reach, and testing Reach's defensive systems. See you in Operation Red Flag Spartan/Marine! (Meaning I will watch the video IF you make the video)
Hey Jester is there an Ace compatibility for Optre or is it just naturally compatible. other thing is there just natural compatiblility betweeen TFR and optre or what would I need to do for that.
ACE3 and TFAR are compatible with the mods. You don't need anything else. They all work on module systems. TFAR mainly needs 1 or 2 modules placed on the map. But ACE3 needs a couple depending on what you are using in the ACE3 mod. But to answer your question, all you need is ACE3,TFAR and Optre. That's is, all independant.
mjd11452 I'm not sure if the medical items in Optre work. I never really used them. When ACE3 is activated, I only used ACE3 items. I know vanilla MEDPACKS/IFAKS if picked up convert into ACE3 items. I did hear talk about making the medical items work the same way. But I would just use ACE3 items.
Ok thanks but like the guns are affected by ace and all that? Same with the armor? And the part about TFar was for the LR he had on his back was not sure if TFAR just worked with it.
mjd11452 I think the only way the Optre weapons are effected by ACE3 is if you placed down a advanced ballistic module. And then even then you can have it set so it effects snipers or all types of weapons. And as for the radios. The radios are made to work with TFAR. There are only 2 LR radios in optre. Place the TFAR modules down and set your settings and bam. Equip your backpack radio and head out the wire.
Did subtitles for the first 90ish seconds of the vid. I might come back and do more later, but an hour long vid is a bit too long for me to do in one sitting.
HildegardeICE Eh, I just found out that they are working on the halo 3 armor mod so I is happy lol Always thought Halo 3 was marines and Reach was army and that's why they looked different, I like both designs and want them both to be in universe
xXStretcHXx I don't know why they would be different tbh man, UNSC is all "navy" since y'know, space. Also the same soldiers from Reach were on the Pillar of Autumn when it escaped.
What's with all of the CAS and CAP? I only counted two friendly pelicans, and two opfor hornets. Were the Hornets and Pelicans dogfighting? And if the Pelicans have their guns (70mm IIRC canon), why couldn't they preform CAS, particularly against the watch towers?
Aspiring Marauder Don't compare any part of Halo lore with CoD! EDIT: But that isn't my point. I hate how people don't even know of the war that created the Spartans in the first place.
