Situation:
S-2 has been made aware by AFP forces in the region that the PLA have constructed a COP within the AO of both the AFP military and governmental headquarters. This PLA COP is both a direct threat and a logistical threat to the AO. If this COP continues to operate then a flood or equipment and soldiers from the north will move down and occupy this area. With its distance to vitally important AFP structures, Delta Co had been tasked with its immediate assault and destruction.
Mission:
1st PLT, D CO 2/75 RR will conduct a waterborne assault onto a fortified PLA COP located near Sao Domingos. 1st PLT will sweep and clear enemy forces in the local region. Once clear or minimal contact, move back towards friendly lines and establish LZ for EXFIL. 160th SOAR & 19th Air Wing will conduct coordinated attacks using ground controller on known PLA radar and radio positions.
Commander’s Intent:
Disrupt or destroy the enemy’s ability to operator effectively in the region. And deny the PLA forces access to the waterways North of COP Spear.
