This is an Encore Commentary and Operation on the concluded Glover Road HO Scale Diorama. Thank You All for Your Faithful Support and above all to my Lord Jesus Christ.
I love your videos and how you come across, they seem to be so personal like with your opening statement of "Hows everybody doing". It brings us right into your world and what's going on, love it. After that comment it's like I'm setting in the same room drinking coffee like were friends only I don't even know you, love it. The software or App you use to make your videos are in my books Top Notch, I really like the pop down or pop up captions and the addition of music being added brings personality to all of it. I'm like the rest of the guys all setting in the same room with you here all enjoying this cool little hobby. Good closure and a high-five, we'll be looking for ya Sir
Thank You for the encouraging words Ian. It's a growing experience in every way for sure. Just so you know concerning the Video App. Everyone who has Windows 10 has it for free on their computer. They just don't know it is there. It's called "Photos" in the search bar. It's so simple to use (small learning curve) I don't know what I would do without it. Cheers! ~ Boomer
There is never an end only a beginning, this old road is going to be repurposed into a new and wonderful scheme and we will always be here for you and your endeavors, there is never a fare thee well only and hello how are you doing and glad to see you smiling once again.
Boomer, thank you so much for helping keep my sanity during the past awful year. I returned to the hobby after a very long absence, I found your channel and many others that were so helpful and inspirational, I know myself and many others feel blessed to have you here for us, looking forward to many more wonderful hours watching your next build.
Like watching an old friend depart by bus LOL. Poor little cat will now meet the welders torch, and be scrapped. Look forward with great anticipation to the next adventure👍
Boomer, Our God has a sense of humor and has passed it on to you and me. I’m having a good laugh viewing this episode. Love you brother in the Lord. Arlin (73) Grand Rapids, MI.
I hadn't seen this layout before. When I saw the thumbnail, it is so detailed, especially the weathering, I thought it was a prototype picture and not a model.
Always enjoyed your channel. Thank you for taking the time to share your talent with so many. Definitely, a very impressive shelf layout, and I will miss it. Continue to walk by faith, and in a manner worthy of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Blessings to you, brother. Thanks again, Joel.
It's not about the destination, it's what you make of the journey. Like I had heard in a eulogy.... there's a two dates on a head stone. Birth and death, but there's that dash in between those numbers. That dash is the story. This dash was an awesome one. Watching the diorama grow to what it became. The next one is going to be spectacular too. Looking forward to watching that dash. 😃 And I'm glad the dozer was saved and not left to rot in the treeline. 👍
And so the curtain falls … Nice to know it’s being mothballed - it would’ve been a real gut-punch to see the rails & switch stands torn up west of the crossing leaving nothing but ties & ballast. Learned an awful lot! Cheers!👍🏻🙂
Glad you did this and you are not going to rip it up! Looking forward to seeing the new construction. Hope to learn a lot from you as missed the complete build of Glover Road!you have inspired me to look at building a shelf type layout as I was overwhelmed at the thought of building a larger layout as a beginner to constructing a layout.😎👍🇦🇺
You and me both! Shelf Layouts are the way to go now-a-days. They give back in the same way as larger layouts do. Just shorten the trains a little . . . lol. Some of the most spectacular layouts I have ever seen over the years are shelf layouts anyway. When you are done with it , just put all the facades and models' on a book shelf and you still have remnants of it for another build. Cheers ~ Boomer.
May God through our Lord Jesus continue to bless you. you gave me some ideas where size of layout means nothing but what fun you have. thank you for everything.
Hi Boomer. The Glover Road diorama has been a wonderful journey and a fantastic project, I really will miss it. Great to hear there is another project lined up, I sure am looking forward to following along. You have such a gift for clearly conveying techniques and sharing knowledge (which I know is not easy to do in a short you tube video). Those of us in this community who follow this channel are very fortunate to have you documenting it as you do. Looking forward to what’s next. Cheers Brad.
Many thanks to you dear friend. Thank You for you thoughtful encouragement and comments. Lord willing I still have a few left in the old heart. Cheers ~ Boomer.
I thank God I found your Channel Boomer. " if that's your real name" Haha! I just sat here and watched this video and the 2 before it and your so inspiring man. I started this channel 3yrs ago because I hated the channel I was on before. I started building the shadow box modules and kept finding problems with the construction to the point I said screw it and walked away from it all. Fast forward to the end of 22 i said I got to make 23 my life turn around. Got back right with God and working on loving people. Also what came with that is getting back with the shadow box Layout build. Now I'm loving life and loving the new channel and shadow box. Still working on loving people though, that's a hard one for me. Hey man I just want to thank you for everything your doing brother. Thanks for helping me when you don't even know you did and I'm sure you still will. Be save and God bless friend. Johnny
Thank you for taking the time to share your story. I think we all have a little trouble with relationships' and people now-and-again. No biggie. Glad to hear you found peace! Plug in and have fun! Cheers. 😁
Thanks 👍 It is still there but rather desolate looking now. CP uses the site for MOW work now. CN actually owns the property, SRY Rail Link owns the siding, and Otter Co-op owns the Grain Elevator. Funny how that works eh? Cheers.
It is a great build really enjoyed watching it evolve over the year I have been watching but as they say onward and upwards looking forward to the future project take care be safe 😀👍
Moving day is always bittersweet, I’ve only been on board for a few months but so glad I found you Boomer, thank you for your insight and overall perspective on the hobby, can’t wait for the new build. 💪🏾👍🏾
it was a great ending glad to see you didn't leave that dumpster. it was in a hard place for a truck to pick up lol.GOD IS GOOD. I look forward to spending eternity with him. I hope to meat you there.
Thank you for sharing and inspiring me. This layout has given more then you can imagine. Its been a flash for the weekends when my hobby has faded some. Im gonna rewatch all your vids at some point. Looking forward to your new layout. Big thanx Boomer
Thanks Boomer! The Creator has gifted many, if not most of us who follow your channel with the ability to create. A reflection of Himself. Boomer, you are also a great encourager!
A great little layout, it’s good to hear it will be saved. Thank you for your videos on Glover Road Boomer, I have enjoyed them all. Looking forward to your new build. Good luck with it!
As much as I hate to see the Immersive Little Railroad go away..I'm excited to have found your channel and with much anticipated excitement look forward to a completely new build journey on your channel.
Thank You. It's exciting to see the creative community building around it. Especially the last year. I never thought it would come to this point when I first began the channel. It's people like you who make it all work in the end. Cheers friend ~ Boomer.
Its been a great journey, following your build of Glover Road, thoroughly enjoyed it Boomer, learned a lot and not just modelling tips. Looking forward to following the River Drive build. All the best. Brian @ The Angels
a happy ending to the layout mate, even to the very close the railway was used to transfer the building / bulldozer etc... all important items that together created this amazing illusion... ever forward Sir... I'm still gonna be here for the future lessons in building... Thank you Sir👍🏻Neil
I must admit you caught me a bit off guard with this video. Surprised Glover road was coming to an end soon. Lol Looking forward to the " River drive" build and learning as it developes. As others have said, you have a gift, being able to present your technics and ideas for all to enjoy. Well done and thanks.
Sorry my my wise ol' buddy. Sometimes a death can be fast and furious. Thank You for your support as well and welcome aboard for chapter two of Boomer Dioramas - the saga of "River Drive' begins . . . Cheers ~ Boomer.
Ok that did it Boomer my friend!!! Leaning on the Everlasting Arms made me get emotional watching that last run. Loved that video!!!! That music and your presentation skills are Supreme. So inspiring!!!!
Wow, thank you! An artist is only as good as their latest work. I hope I can repeat the same on the next one. Looking forward to the challenge as well. Welcome aboard. Cheers ~ Boomer
Sad to see that you're shutting the doors on the Glover Road Diorama, but it will live on passively on the new build and elsewhere, Look forward to the future 👍
Thank You Colin. Yes, it is sad in a way. But the spirit of Glover Road lives on. Almost every single component is redeemable. It surprised me, but that was the plan. Cheers mate. ~ Boomer.
“A companion that feasts the company with and mirth, and leaves out the sin which is usually mixed with them, he is the man; and let me tell you, good company and good discourse are the very sinews of virtue.” Izaak Walton-author of the Compleat Angler. (Who, I’m certain, would have been a modeller of trains and railways also had he lived in an age of their existence.)
I love that book Ian. I read it from cover to cover. I used to devour books by all the great author's up until a few years ago. Isaak Walton is some of the greatest fishing prose ever written by a man full of life's wisdom. I also love C.S. Lewis writings as well. Cheers ~ Boomer.
Thank you Boomer. I have watched for nearly a year and learned so much from you. I got an airbrush because of the support with the tutorials and this has revolutionised my painting. Should have got an airbrush years ago! I will miss glover road but will watch with great interest the next build. Good fortune in this endeavour.
Thanks so much for these immersive operations and tutorials that I enjoy over and over.. I've really learned a lot and my layout is coming along nicely. Looking forward to your new build! Thanks again and God bless you..
Boomer, watching this and knowing what is going to happen is oddly satisfying. This diorama has been an inspiration to me in my scenery decisions. I look forward to your next project. Thanks for letting me come along for the ride.
I would put 10 likes on that if I could. I found it slightly emotional watching with the music and the captions. I look forward to seeing your new layout take shape and in doing so bring happiness both to you and those Iike me watching.
Thank You CSX. I felt the same way filming it. It brings a healthy closure to the layout. Mind you, I' will be using Glover Road in a few opening videos on the next phase of Boomer Dioramas . . . so she is still with us a ways yet. Cheers ~ Boomer
I hope so! Operations are always a part of the genre for sure. Glover Road has a few remaining lessons to teach as well before she disappears. Cheers ~ Boomer.
You are right ,only God is eternal ,this is a legacy for many ,from we can learn something, congratulations friend you do great job, I'm trying to say, a small diorama says more than a big layout,
Even as a viewer I feel kinda sad. It is such a beautiful layout. However, the end of one thing is the start of another and I am really looking forward to your new project! I only joined your channel since the layout was operational so I am really curious about how you start your new one! Thanks for all the work and your videos!
Thank you for sharing this amazing journey, I learned a lot of things by watching and your art is outstanding. Excited to see what the next chapter will bring you! I love the barge dock line idea and I am sure you will creatively inspire those evocative scenes and nostalgic feels for all of us. God bless you as well eh :)
And as a final scene, the towns people who were never seen, all came to the tracks and waved goodbye. Kind of like the end of every Beverly Hillbillies show.
Someone asked me the other day if I did model railroading, and then jokingly said, "There is therapy for that." I smiled and told them that this is my therapy, no additional therapy needed.
Boomer, that is so cool that you were hauling away pieces of the railroad on THE railroad! That was cool. Thank you Boomer for all you have done for the viewers and what you have shared. Looking forward to the new projects. Also please do take some “Boomer” time when you need it. Creating content can be a real drag sometimes. Due what you need to to avoid the “burnout”! We would rather see no content for awhile than to see no Boomer! 🙏👊👍
Sad to see it go Boomer. I had become a great fan of Glover Rd. It brought many hours of enjoyment watching it evolve to what is now its end. As the winter ushers in the spring and it's wonderment so to shall this great piece of art.
Thank You Sean. I still have all the components on display in my home. The actual layout is hanging like a painting on my wall. Who knows, maybe some of the buildings and other components get re-worked into "River Road" phase 2. Hang in there bud. Cheers ~ Boomer.
Thank you Boomer, this series got me back into the hobby so thank you for being so interesting, for pushing the envelope and for being so damn inspiring. It's been a great journey. Well done friend.
When I saw the DQ leave, I discovered an entirely new meaning for the phrase "there goes the neighborhood."" I'm confident you and Dusty enjoyed this build and I hope you both enjoy the next one just as much. Thanks for the adventure, Boomer.
Thank you Boomer, you have been a great inspiration with a nice mix of tricks of the trade and down to earth story telling. I am looking forward to follow your next project.
Hi again boomer....meant to add this question to my last comment a few minutes ago.... I am relatively new to dcc sound locos... I'm about to click BUY on 2 Atlas locos BOTH with loksound v5 sound decoders... I plan to run them as a consist...should I buy both WITH sound? I'm not sure if running them both with sound ON will be better or worse than running with only one with sound ON. Could save $ by buying one non-sound but if running them both with sound ON is worth it then I don't mind d spending the extra $. Thanks, VinnyD
