Revan 4's tasking was to provide CAP for SEAD & DEAD elements, as well as Apaches and Kiowas performing ISR/strike. Secondary tasking was to try and identify and pin down the location of Russian SAMs in the vicinity of Tblisi.
My flight didn't kill anything that I'm aware of, but that wasn't really my aim for this mission after what happened in the last mission. I wanted to play it safe and take a launch-and-leave approach in the hopes of dragging any threats back towards Scythe 5, the other CAP elements consisting of 3 F-18s from VFA-97. They ended up making most, if not all, of the kills, and rightfully so, those guys are BVR monsters.
All told, the helos took some losses but the 157th got the job done, and got home safely. Still have plenty of stuff to learn, but we learn by doing, right?
