Its strange this was my favourite song way back when and I completely forgot about it and just now the song popped in my head I miss this band and miss the times that came with it
Honestly ahead of their time! If they had released their songs around 2013-2015 when this style of indie music was POPPIN they could've been huge and possibly more successful than groups likes Two Door Cinema Club, Passion Pit, San Cisco et cetera...
+Samantha May I think it's actually more unknown as opposed to underrated. Operator Please only released their CD's in Australia & New Zealand, so it's unknown to the rest of the world, only reason many of us heard them was because of a movie. I think this song could've done very well in the US, it's better than 99% of the pop music that's been released since then('08).
I remember doing my grade 8 homework to this song back in 2010, I lost track of this band a couple of years later and ever since 2012 i've been looking for there name since I forgot it. 1 hour ago I was watching some victorian era British movie and one of the characters says "your not to talk" and an instant bell rang in my head and I paused the movie and went straight to the computer, opened google and typed in 'Your not to talk Lyrics 2010' and the first suggestion was a band called Operator Please and I instantly remembered and started listening to this song. Can not describe how happy I am to of finally found this again, such a great indie pop band and there all from the gold coast which is like an hour drive away from where I live. Time to dive into some memories and nostalgia, cheers for reading folks.

I suggest you should have turned off the music and paid more attention to your grammar home work as the movie line would have been, "You're not to talk".
i have nack for finding things out late ----10 years later-----.... today is the 1st time i heard this track. very cool, cute, got that ice cream parlour funk. Unique.
I kept blasting this song in the living room everyday like a thousand times. Even my neighbors have asked the title of the song and searched the music video on youtube. I just don't get tired of listening to this. Been more than a month already. FOR A GOOD TIME...CALL movie was so good!
This is the type of song where at the end of the movie. Everything works out and the guy or girl slowly fades into an aerial shot of New York City panning out as they walk away. And I love it 🤣

I was around seven when I first heard these guys. I barely remember any songs I listened to from back then. But for some reason this song will always greatly stick in my mind. Thank you for this.
First heard this on the fill "for a good time call" whilst sitting on a plane going to america ( from uk ) and fell in love kept replaying the part of the film
you right! i've heared in 2007 i think, in some tv show called "from the basement" it was a session in the Abbey road studios, and when started to play i just blow my mind, at that time it looked like they were in high scool, they were so young, and i was in high school, good times i must say

Moje objawienie!!! Odkryłam ten zespół w filmie "For A Good Time, Call..." (swoją drogą, film niezbyt udany, ale... ;) ) i od razu zaczęłam szukać, bo raczej nigdzie indziej i nigdy nic podobnego nie słyszałam... Znalazłam!!! I uwielbiam tę kapele.. Frontmenka genialna, świetna, doskonała!!! Życzyłabym sobie mieć możliwość słuchania takiej muzyki wszędzie gdzie popadnie, ponieważ wprawia mnie w doskonały nastrój!!!
