You actually listened to that? I had to fast forward through it. Then he interrupted once again to discuss it. It baffles me that he thinks he is adding with that crap.
he's framing and reframing for people tuning in and new listeners in order to provide context. you know, because it's radio. otherwise it sounds like they're bashing a handicapped man. this reframing tool isn't meant for us, it's meant to let newer listeners in on the joke. as a mass appeal device, it may seem hokey to you, but it's how they got so big and it shows that Opie is a radio guy. Opie is steering the ship, Professional Broadcaster Sam Roberts is elaborating while Jim and Ant are providing a more dynamic content.
@Anonymous User Not to mention the fact that he has broken the 4th wall to explain every joke and reference ever. That is what radio shows are all about. You have to keep listening to figure out the inside jokes, etc. Also, the fact that he will stop to explain something that just happened organically AS people are still laughing about it. How anyone can defend him is bizarre to me.
"i hope he gets sh... i hope he gets shhhoo..... hahahaha. i hope he gets shot!" cheeky yimmy peaked through. first time I've seen him almost break character.
Patrice O'Neal pretty much hit the nail on the head when it came to cringe humor when he responded to one of Gallagher's bombs: "I want to laugh just because of the pain from not laughing." And it applies beautifully to Chip.
Myrdred Deceiver I think Ant nailed it one time too when chip came in with a horrendous bomb and nobody laughed and Anthony just paused for a second and said, "it's just so... unfunny" lol which made it funny then.
I suffered comedy whiplash when Chip told his ray-gun story, and then a smash cut right into "why is she in that chair?" My back pain has flared up. Thank ya' Chippy!
"Me and my friend Teddy got caught in a closet when I was a kid. We got yelled at" Teddy! Get that outta yer mouth and tell your friend to go home! (I knew I was in Dutch!)
that princess laeya definitely works out, juuuuust the right amount. NICE. I hate to say it but I never got on the Chippah train....not that funny, idk, possibly just giving a witty interview could have been just as much or more entertaining, You're a smart guy jimbo!
this should have never seen the light of day just being honest...F...the fact that O and A put this on their RADIO show at first...this must have been torture to listen to! , Im really confused, usually these guys are SEMI funny. this is car crash after crash effect....
