This segment does prove how great OandA are together - even without Jimmy. Im not a big fan of Opie - I kinda hate him these days - but he really killed it during this segment. He set Ant up amazingly over and over and kept the pace going instead of just the same argument going on
Agreed, listen to enough of the old shows and Opie’s presence does make a lot of sense. When the chemistry is on, it’s great radio. But you can definitely hear the “Greggshells” more often than not.
He was the ringmaster. haha I don't know why he gets so much shit for not being as funny as Ant and Jim. He knew what good radio was and he knew how to create a shit storm. Conflict = good radio I think. That's why the Halperin appearances were always great. :)
Matthew Stephens .... Saying he knew good radio is like saying he has ears anyone who has half a brain knows what good radio is ..... Being able to create good radio and being part of good radio is the hard part and saying he's a good shit starter is just like saying he's an asshole which I mostly agree with however he's the most boring asshole ever without ant he would have never made it big
He said he's a "Cohen" so maybe Halperin is a fake name or his father's name and he's only half Jew. Who knows? Also lot of Jews changed their surnames to avoid detection.

Anthony is on fire here. This whole segment is consistently great. Opie wisely stays out of the way, though his "Ian, I have to agree with you" (and then Anthony's "WHAT?! WHAT?!") after Anthony's spent ten minutes leveling Ian Halperin is a huge laugh for me.
I feel the need to defend Opie for once in my life. He was solid here. He kept agreeing with Ian and it helped the bit a lot. Then later he suggested buying His Highness Hollywood to watch and comment on the show. Sam blew it by not listening and purchasing a copy. The Opster’s batting average is now 0.001.

I like how Anthony said Ian looks like Dice and Ian immediately responded “don’t insult Dice.” That’s like me calling someone an asshole and that person responding “Come on man. The Human anus isn’t that bad.”
Ian has more game with women than Anthony. Lets be real, Ant had one move and it was mentioning his pool and saying he would have them picked up with personal transportation. His biggest personality flaw was caring about how cool he sounded to a bunch kf truckers. I cant believe Opie was the only one known for having thin skin
Anthony constantly getting into spats on Twitter and Reddit shows he can't take a joke unless it's in his safe space on air. For a guy who basically encouraged the pests to do shit like leave bestality porn on the FB pages of other radio shows, the guy is so easy to troll
The only reason this fight happened is because ian, completely out of the blue, read a homoerotic poem bashing anthony. I think he might understand radio even more than ant.
