I'm with Bob Kelly on this one. You don't get to star opposite Estelle Getty in "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot" without having the acting chops on lock. What a dope.
Stallone is an underrated actor, he is a good actor, but he has done lots of shit so it sets him up for ridicule. And to imply that Rocky and Rambo are basically the same character is wayyy off base, they just don't like stallone. But lots of people don't , he's always entertained me, even his bad movies are good. Him and Arnold are among my favorite actors, no one blows up shit better than those guys.
I imagined Sylvester Stallone being cast as the president in a movie, and that thought alone made me laugh out loud. That's a terrible category to be in.
No sly is not on the same level as a Clint Eastwood or De niro or Denzel but he does have a great screen presence in the way Arnold does as well. Not every actor has a screen presence.
This is actually from a scene in First Blood that was deleted. Colonel, "Sheriff. You don't understand Rambo. The army taught Rambo how to survive by eating his own feces and drinking his own urine." Sheriff, "What the army do to this fucking guy?" Colonel, "I know, I know. He couldn't stop when he rotated back stateside, let's just say it ruined his social life."
Next Bobby's gonna tell us that we can't tell the difference between his performance in Dane Cook movies and De Niro's in Taxi Driver, unless we have acting experience.
Stallone's a good actor... for a Stallone role. He's very limited, but with the right role he does very well. Kinda like Arnold. Arnold's not as good of an actor but he gets a lot more slack because he's Arnold. Even a shitty Schwarzenegger movie is still tolerable for the most part, but a bad Stallone movie is just cringeworthy.
I don't think Arnold has taken as big of risks. His movies are more made to fit him in. He knows what he is good at and they know to Stallone is in stuff like Cop land. Pretty deep stuff then he is in stuff like dredd. Hell you could of put Arnold in dredd instead. People may have loved it just cause it fits Arnold's style of goofy over the top action. Would of been just as bad nonetheless
This whole thing was hilarious, but sometimes Patrice is so loud that I have to literally remove my headphones. It sucks too because he says a lot of funny shit, but I just wish he wouldn't scream in the microphone so much.

Im with Jimmy on this one, how can anyone who saw Rambo/Rocky and Rocky Balboa bitch bout Stallone being BAD actor ? Just because he usually plays the "same guy" ? So does Morgan Freeman or Sean Connery but nobody is bitching bout them.
